"We stayed here for the hot spring and skiing. The sauna and outdoor bath were awesome – we loved them! The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned and has a 90s atmosphere, but there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it felt like a nice cultural experience, a bit different from the usual modern hotels in Japan. The only downside for me was the dinner option. There was only a set course menu, which didn’t work well for me because I was very hungry after snowboarding all day. The food was beautiful and delicate, but the portions were quite small – I could finish each dish in one or two bites, and then had to wait a while for the next course. That was a bit challenging when you’re really hungry."

"Excellent location for our family ski stay in Otaru. Easy access to train/bus terminal, 30 mins bus ride to Asari Ski Resort. Awesome canal view and nice walkable area for exploring Otaru."
