"I booked as I was going to the Ancient City which they have free transport and discount to and also to a lovely restaurant just up the road big rooms ours was looking over the Ancient city staff where so helpful the whole place is very clean only downside was breakfast but I don't think they have many Europeans staying . "I will come here again now that I know where Treehouse is located. It is a beautiful property. But getting here was absolute hell. One cannot drive to their location. one can only drive to a wat (temple) that is a ten-minute walk away along the river. My taxi driver was flummoxed in trying to take me here, and we wasted over an hour pf extra time trying to find the place. I interviewed three other guests who had the same problem. This could be solved by putting up signs at the wat directing...

"This hotel is about 1 and 1/2hour taxi ride to downtown bangkok. It is situation in a very dirty nieghbourhood with absolutely nothing to do. Why would expedia put this in their list of hotels for tourists. Blows my mind. I saw more stray dogs in 100 ft running on the street than iv seen in a life time. Staff is very friendly. Never go here. You are living in the slums. No where to walk...."

Nice hotel with excellent customer service staff
"Chatrium Hotel Bangkok was our last hotel stop before our vacation was over. As a Platinum Hotels.com member, I was lucky to get an "upgrade" on our room but it didn't seem like an upgrade because I had booked a 1 Bdrm Riverview Suite King Bed and that was what I got? Room was good size and comfortable. Balcony faces the river with a beautiful view. Anyways, hotel is very clean and next to the river. Hotel has a shuttle boat that can take you to ICON SIAM. There are street food along the street but not as busy. Hotel is farther away from Grand Palace, MBK shopping center, and busier areas of Bangkok. Hotel has a Starbucks and 7-11 connected. Breakfast had a huge variety of food. You can't beat breakfast buffets in Asia. The staff always so helpful and kind and goes above and beyond. Would I stay at Chatrium Hotel again? Probably not because it is farther away from all the busier areas and street food and night markets. If you prefer a quieter area, this hotel would be an excellent choice. "
