This property is on lake Thun bank and its very quiet, relaxing and close to bus stop and train station as well as few minuts away bus journey from Interlaken. Ideal for Family holidays. This felt like family operated place where cool, calm & welcoming feeling we had.

Great little hotel with an excellent view of the lake and mountains! Two things you should be aware of: 1. Bring soap 2. The driveway up to the parking and reception is VERY steep. Host is very nice and breakfasts were lovely.

Nice little hotel, old and with a bit too many stuffed, dead animals on the walls where you eat (yes I know it’s a hunting theme hotel, but still) Owner is a quiet, calm guy - do not own service mind at all, but a fine man, he does the job, and prepare a good simple breakfast, with good ingredients, lovely cheese and bread! The hotel has a good location with a swimming spot just outside at the lake, and relatively good locations, for driving to Interlaken and Grindelwald (where we went for hikes)

The property is located in a beautiful place with easy access to the lake and has ample parking. However, the room was dusty and there were hairs on the bathroom wall. The room was spacious but very old fashioned and needed some TLC. The stuffed dead animals in the main area weren’t to my liking though!

Misleading on distance to hotel from train /bus station. They said a 10 minute walk but had to take a taxi that cost $30.00 one way. It was a couple miles away. Spent over $100. on taxi service while there. Hotel was more of a hunting lodge with no less than 15 stuffed animals and birds in the lobby and dining area. Very nice carpentry work throughout. Nice views.

Very old bed sheets, poor breakfast, rooms are dirty , only one person he was doing every thing , i mean first he was serving for breakfast and later he does the rooms arranging , and the same person he was at the réception and he was rude ☹️,, not arranging the beds, not cleaning the room and toilet and not re filling the toiletries

The only good thing was the location.. everything else wasn’t great. Not clean at all, I had to use one of my clothes to cover my pillow, what I paid shouldn’t be for that. Breakfast was okay! He also charged me for the tax even tho I paid for the whole package. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Property is is definitely not a three star property as advertised. There are a number of facilities listed here but are not there. For e.g. there is no room service, no laundry service, the restaurant only serves breakfast, no hot water in the evening, room heater didn’t work in our room, you have to ask for the basic things and it depends upon the owner/manager to decide whether to provide or not. I booked this place thinking I would have a relaxed 3 days with family but was very disappointed to be honest. Then I looked at some of the google reviews of the property and noticed I wasn’t alone. Definitely not the price they charge you for. The property is nice and on the bank of a beautiful lake so that was the only positive.

My wife's first reaction on reaching the property is that we had been tricked. The place appeared unkempt as if it had been abandoned. A notice in German inferred that someone would be back in half hour, so we left with no intention of staying there. We were later informed that someone was waiting from 1500 hrs to 2000 hrs waiting for our arrival and there is no reason to doubt the veracity of that claim. But the place did not look at all inviting. A local lady kindly phoned the hotel on our behalf and despite trying for half hour was unable to get a satisfactory response. She informed us that the hotelier was not Swiss. Shortly afterwards we encountered an American couple who had met the hotelier and had also decided not to stay there. They reported to us bloodied bed sheets, which to me indicates they were not changed between guests as well as the high probability of bed bugs. Sightings of mosquitoes and a Russian hotelier who was in complete denial that anything was amiss. They, very kindly, were able to arrange alternative accommodation for us.

Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen! Grösse des Zimmers ist gut, aber man sieht, dass hier seit Jahren nichts mehr renoviert wurde. Die Matratzen haben ihre beste Qualität hinter. Doch das schlimmste war die Temperatur im Zimmer: maximal 16 Grad! Bei einer Aussentemperatur von -8 Grad!

Hôtel très décevant et ne correspondant pas à la description sur le site: il est noté hôtel restaurant mais pas de restaurant ni de bar; nous sommes accueilli par le propriétaire qui ne parle pas Français comme cela est indiqué et il faut arriver avant 17h sinon aucune possibilité de récupérer la clé. Aucun personnel n'est présent hormis le propriétaire; c'est lui qui prépare le petit déjeuner qui est plutôt moyen avec un mauvais café. L'établissement comprend 3 niveaux mais compte tenu des décrochés il n'y a pas d'ascenseur!! La chambre n'était pas à la hauteur du prix, seul point positif la vue sur le lac. Produits de salle de de bains minimum( petits savons) et il a fallu réclamer du papier toilette. Pas de réfrigérateur pas de boisson offerte. La connexion internet est ce mauvaise qualité et saute souvent( trop de connexions?) La propreté générale laisse à désirer: nombreuses feuilles au sol, herbe poussant à travers les dalles, parasols déchirés.
