"Awesome experience and amazing foods no matter the dinner and the breakfast they never let you down. Staff will guide you through the hotel and the amenities. I got there late around 8:00-8:30pm but they still let us get the dinner. Highly recommend "

"Staying here is an extraordinary experience, stepping back in time to a ryokan as it was in the 1950s (and almost as it was in 1920). The hospitality is exceptional, the staff attentive and capable, and the room spacious and evocative of an earlier era. Visitors must realize that this means very little in modern conveniences: some rooms don’t have showers and all the rooms are Japanese style with tatami floors and futon beds (set out during dinner and removed during breakfast). There are many stairs, no elevator, and the outdoor shared baths are quite a walk through the (marvelous) garden. The meals are extravagant but totally Japanese. It is an experience not to be missed, but you need to know what you are getting. (The Imperial family apparently stayed here in 1955, the first time the Emperor had ever stayed outside the royal compound.) There many wonderful indoor and outdoor museums around the area, and several fantastic gardens. "

"The facility is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. The onsens were excellent and definitely a highlight of the stay. However, the kaiseki dinner was somewhat disappointing. The dishes lacked flavour, and many of them had a softer, mushy texture. The pacing of the meal could also be improved — there was about a 45-minute wait between courses, which felt quite long. In addition, there were occasional odours noticeable during food service that slightly detracted from the overall dining experience. The staff were courteous, but at times seemed less familiar with the details of the dishes, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the meal. Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the experience did not fully meet expectations for the price."

"Me and my husband stayed here and had the best experience. The room was very clean, and very nice. Location was great & bus stop was right outside.The onsen was amazing. Other than the room itself being amazing, the staff was extraordinary. They were very kind, polite, and attentive. Ryota prepared our dinner and he was so kind. The dinner & breakfast were both so tasty. We for sure will be coming back on our next trip to Japan!"

"We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hakone Yutowa. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hakone-Gora station. The hotel offers a calm, pleasant atmosphere with beautiful greenery and trees throughout the grounds. While communication in English was occasionally a challenge, the staff remained incredibly friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed both the public and private onsens. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The complimentary snacks and beverages were also a fantastic perk that added extra value to our stay, along with the restaurant onsite."

"We stayed at the Superior Twin Room with private bathroom. The view from that room was simply amazing. We really enjoyed making good use of the kitchen and common areas. The kitchen has utensils, coffee, tea and filtered hot and cold water. The common area also had a bunch of different books and games if you felt like having a relaxing day. The best part of this place is the Onsen. Also, there is a 7-11 within a 3 min walk. Overall, I highly recommend "

"Although needing a train to access this place massively exceeded our expectations. The apartment was enormous with the luxury of a private semi outdoor thermal bath & a sauna. For a family of 5 this was absolutely perfect, very glad we chose here & not the other older hotels in the area"
