  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

Super Slow WiFi connection

Love the hotel and service, but the WiFi is less then desirable, connection is spotty and SUPER slow. All employees are polite but not all of them were helpful. Nice and quiet and the room is updated and fairly clean. Will only visit again when / if the WiFi connection is updated.

It's a good 3 star hotel. It's a 15-19 mins walk from Taipei main station (or take the bus and walk 400 meters - similar time). The hotel doesn't even provide soap for washing your hands. So be aware of that. I found it too eco (or cheap).

Good, not great. Mattress is very firm, pillows very soft. Carpet is old and dirty. (Room 306) WIFI was very slow and failed frequently, causing my VPN to crash. Not suggested if you need to work from your room. Closest Starbucks has WIFI that was better, but I still had issues with my VPN. Location is okay, but about 15 minute walk to the nearest MRT station. Restaurant recommendation: Kanokwan Thai Noodle was fast and tasted great!

Hotel needs an update, not sure that i will repeat for the price, can get better value elsewhere I stayed few nights here previously pre covid, back then was cleaner, newer, cheaper For similar $$, will do tango, k, or try others nearby For me prices needs to = value or better Will repeat at lower $$ or when there are no other choices
