  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

The size of the room is okay for the price. The best things are the convenience : Ching-quang night market is just around the corner, two lines of Metro are both 10 minutes walk. Front desk girls are very friendly. Very quiet inside in a buzzing area. One suggestion: put microwave oven in every room! At least in every floor.

A good hotel with modern decor and clean. only issue is the soundproofing in the rooms is not that good. I can hear upstairs walking around or moving a chair as the floors are all hardwood. And can hear other rooms closing their door. if you are a light sleeper and the neighboring or upstairs room are noisy, mightt not be a great situation.

I have stayed near this area before but not near here. The area is a nice and easy to navigate. It is close to 2 different metro stations. It is also near the Shuangcheng night market. This night market is food only but there are some stores near by The hotel is small but comfy. The room is like typical Asian hotel rooms. Big enough for the bed and not much else. There is a small patio to sit. I couldn’t use it because it was raining during my stay. I was in the second floor but I couldn’t hear the moved noise that is common in Taiwan. All in all, would definitely recommend.

The room was very clean. Their room service crew is spotless, it is all automated by the room automation. I like their location,close to all the eateries, Metro is about 15 minutes away, the hotel tucked away in an alley way, close to the center of the city. But night is very quite. It was converted from a residential building, so the room is good size, although some rooms may share the loading wall, your neighbor when open their door may sound like your door is opened in the middle of the night. All in all. I enjoyed the hotel, the bathroom is particularly functional and spotless.

Clean, modern boutique hotel, part of a small chain. On a quiet back street but close to subway (MRT) access. Close to a long-running Taipei morning market and a large park. The mattress, while still firm, is a bit softer and more comfortable than is typical in Taiwan hotels. The staff is always helpful.
