The location was the best thing about this hotel. Rooms cleaned daily, aircon working very well. Rooms are kinda old but honestly no complaints,good stay.

First time to Taiwan and found this hotel with some ratings good and bad. I found the service friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy although a bit worn looking but I was happy with that. Comfortable bed and great location :) Definitely returning.

Location of the hotel is great, situated in the middle of Ximending, allowing shopping to be very convenient. Not too far away from Ximen Station as well. Facilities are very normal, but unfortunately assigned room does not have window. Hair dryer might require some upgrading. Overall the stay was worth it considering price and location! : )

Room with Bath Tub is a Plus

The room I got is spacious enough for one person and with bath tub so I'm very ok with that. However, core down side for me is that there's no bidet. I'm expecting that having a bidet is standard. There's also no soap in the sink nor toothbrush and toothpaste. The front desk can speak a little English as well so it's kind of hard if you want to request or ask for something.

Place wasn't the easiest to find. Building looked very old. But most staff were friendly. Room had poor sound proofing. We also had a bit of toilet bowl clogging problems. Bed and carpet floors were dusty.

The property is located on the 9th and 10th floors of a old building (rest of the floors are long-stay tenants/other businesses). There are 2 elevators but sometimes they are used by the cleaners to transport garage so they stink badly. Check-in at the counter on the 9th floor, and we had rooms on the 10th. Room was large size and had toiletries, mini fridge, cable TV, decent wifi, bottled water, tea/coffee. Air-conditioning was miserable and non-existent, opening the single window caused mosquitoes to enter. Shower was hot and water pressure good but pipes were super noisy so i didn't have a good rest. Housekeeping did a great job with the lousy hardware though. Beds were terribly soft. Location was decent, about 350m from Ximending MRT.

The bathroom shower doesn’t have any shower curtain so you will end up squatting on the tub or else the whole bathroom becomes wet. Only one mirror inside the bathroom available, so it’s not efficient if you’re traveling in a group. Also we can hear the shower from the other room at night! The staff feel snob. The only win was its location.

Despite of reading some bad reviews,I still book at Star Ximen hotel because some of the reviews says it's in the mid of the city,All I can say that our stay is very satisfying,they clean the room everyday,we we're able to sleep comfortably and the place is just 8 mins walk from ximen mrt station which is very convenient for us to travel by metro.

Many mosquitoes inside the lifts when we are up & down to this building, facilities are old enough to re-renovate, these 2 areas need to improve. Location is good, below many convenient shops, foods stall surrounding, subway Ximen station not far away.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the first two nights, we had a room on the 10th floor, the room was old, had black mold on the bathroom. The AC did not work, a pretty bad experience. The last night, I had a separate booking on the 9th floor, the experience was much better, working AC, cleaner bathroom, the room actually had a window and balcony. The AC worked as well. If you booking here, get the 9th floor, pay a little extra.

The place is conveniently located at ximen ting, great house keeping daily for the price. We got a free upgrade to family room and the room was spacious. However, walls are very very thin,can hear the conversation/showering next door clearly in the middle of the night. The lifts were faulty on the last day of stay that led to us walking down 3 stories before being able to take the lift.
