"Hotel is lovely and staff excellent but at least with room I stayed in it was very tired and needed updating. Paint was flaking off the walls, there was what looked like someone's foundation stains on the lamp shade and what looked like water marks/ stains on the walls. To note it can be quite noisy due to town centre location. I stayed mid week and was quite loud. "

"The breakfast was a disaster. I've got Celiac Disease and l told the lady servicing me that l was gluten free. She said she would get me some gluten free toast which l said thank you. I ordered the avocado & eggs on toast but after l ate my breakfast l released that l was given normal gluten sour dough bread. After l finished my breakfast she came over & asked if l was gluten free which l replied yes & she said oh with a worried look on her face. Me & my husband both said to eachother l think she served me normal gluten bread. There was another couple who was having breakfast & the lady was also gluten free & she got gluten free bread. I was very frustrated & upset that she didn't take me serious & couldn't even come over & apologise for what she knew she had done. Being Celiac is not a joke & now since returning home I've had stomach cramps & feeling very sick. Hopefully you can train all staff about this serious condition. Apart from the breakfast the hotel is lovely. "

"Clean, quiet and spacious well room with really comfy bed, quiet aircon and great shower. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were lovely. Had a wonderful stay. "

"The first room we were given was dirty and had mould but we were quickly moved to another room which was clean. The rooms were not soundproof as advertised and didn't look the same as they were advertised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For a short stay it's not too bad, however not sure I'd recomend for a long stay. Make sure to bring shampoo etc and a hairdryer as our room didn't have them although I'm sure this could potentially have been rectified if we had asked. "

"I recently stayed at this hotel for four days, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. One of the biggest advantages is its location right in the city center. Everything you might need is within walking distance—pubs, cafés, restaurants, shopping stores, a shopping mall, bus stops, the railway station, museums, and even Cardiff Castle. It made exploring the area incredibly convenient and enjoyable. From the reception area to the rooms, cleanliness was clearly a top priority. Everything was spotless and had a fresh, pleasant fragrance, which immediately created a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax after a day out. Housekeeping was consistent and reliable throughout our stay. Our room was cleaned every day, which added to the overall comfort and ease of staying there. The breakfast served each morning was really good, with a satisfying variety to choose from. Additionally, the hotel offers a kitchen menu, allowing guests to order food at other times, which is a great option for added convenience. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. Their positive attitude contributed significantly to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located place to stay in the city."

"The staff at the front desk were fantastic even though they were so busy! The first room we were put it had an issue with the sealant on the shower glass - water flooded the bathroom. The staff moved us straightaway. However, both rooms were really run down. There were chips in the bathroom counter. There were marks on the walls. There was rust on the lamps. The mugs had stains. The towels were really crusty and had holes in them. Not really what I expect from a Novotel. I doubt I’d get holey towels in a Premier Inn! Would not stay again. "

"There is a fee to use the pool and no onsite parking. This is not disclosed accurately on the site nor the Hilton website. The sink ran all night and TV did not work and no one came to fix it. The room was dilapidated and we had to listen to a domestic violence incident twice from the room next to us. We called down and no one came. The hotel is disgusting. Do not stay in this Hilton. We are regular Hilton guests and this one is by far no where near what a Hilton is normally. "
