"Location was incredible, lovely room and grounds"

"Nice historic property"

"Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers"

"We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!"

"Lovely room, clean facilities, landlords very helpful and great selection on tap for the evening!"

"There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back."

"Fabulous stay for 2 nights, great staff, great food, breakfast and dinner, very comfortable bed."
