"Staff are great friendly and helpful, breakfast was spot on good quality, central location, I've stayed before and it suits my needs, everything worked correctly, good hot water in shower (better than some more expensive hotels). "Stayed here a few times before and it's very convenient for New Street, the city centre and with secure parking in the nearby Mailbox. It's basic but comfortable bed. The nearby Grand Central Kitchen is great for breakfast!"

"This hotel is a historic property. We really enjoyed the breakfast which includes a cold buffet and hot items cooked to order. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant several times and the food is amazing with great service. Parking is convenient and free. We took advantage of the incredible hiking options nearby. "

Lovely stay

"My family stayed for 1 night while visiting Drayton Manor Theme Park. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a good outside area by the bar with lots of tables. The staff at breakfast were amazing, really accomodating and brought me gluten free cornflakes and toast specially made. We visited on a particularly hot day and I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning. Our room had a fan in the cupboard and this worked really well even thought there were 4 of us in the same room. The pool nice and clean and there was a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room for the adults to use. All in all, really pleased!"

Britannia Hotel Birmingham New Street Station

"The hotel is in a super-convenient city centre location. Take the Stephenson Street exit from the station and you'll come onto New Street almost opposite the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only basic toiletries and refreshments (no biscuits on the tea tray – remember to toss a pack of chocolate digestives in your bag) but overall good value for the price. One thing to note is that the revolving door at the entrance is very heavy and takes some muscle to start moving. I literally had to put my shoulder to it. Could cause difficulty for anyone with physical weakness or disability. The staff on reception were polite. Check-out is simply dropping your key in a box, quick and easy. So overall, a good option for a convenient and economical city stay."
