"Excellent service from the staff. We were greeted at the lobby and assisted with our luggage as we checked in. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and security is taken seriously, with a high number of staff on the ground floor and cameras on site. Rooms were cleaned daily, and towels and bed covers were regularly replaced. The site is conveniently located (walking distance to the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, and East Nanjing Road). The amenities in the hotel are equally comprehensive, although slightly on the more expensive side. Overall, excellent experience."

"We had comfortable stay in a clean room with all the necessary amenities. City view was nice and the location was great where we could walk to many places with inexpensive didi ride back after hours of sightseeing! Wifi wasn’t great but then it really isn’t at any hotels we stayed in China. We definitely won’t mind staying here again when we come back to Shanghai!! "

"Room was very nice and the free first round of the minibar was a pleasant surprise. You couldn't fault the location for access to the Bund and the metro and the Yuyuan ancient street. Breakfast buffet was excellent - pastries not great (but that is true all over China). The main issue was that the 2 lifts are inadequate for the size of the hotel and they are slow. It's a shame but the queues for the lift at the end of breakfast and at check-in/check-out times are enough to drop this from a 5 to 4 star review."

"First of all, hotel staff were superb from reception to cleaning service. Lots of places to eat some hidden in department stores. We checked out at least two social media raved about restaurants which were nearby (walkable) and they lived up to their hype! We also made use of the metro which is also nearby. In summary, would stay at this hotel again."
