My star rating speaks for itself. The one thing I would suggest is to have a power outlet placed by the bed head at a higher position so guests can charge their phone overnight while having it close by for any urgent messages. Thanks

Good value

Good value for the price, a stone's throw from Exit 5 of Shijo Station, all essentials are also nearby ( lawsons, family mart, 7-11, drug store, anytime fitness ), as well as some good restaurants. Walking distance to the shopping streets. But there is a strange cigarette smell inside the hotel ( strange because i never saw anyone smoking inside or outside the hotel ), but other than that, really no complaints.

The staff was super helpful and the breakfast included made the price worthwhile. Cons were typical Japanese small size hotel rooms.

Everything about our stay was perfect — the staff, both at reception and in housekeeping, were exceptional. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. Downstairs, the hotel provided thoughtful extras like toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and sachets of shampoo, conditioner, face wash, and even hair oil. We were able to borrow umbrellas on rainy days and appreciated the option to leave our luggage after check-out. It really is a beautiful and well-run hotel. But (and there’s always a but!), the room we were given (Room 717) faced directly into another building — so that was our “view” for five days. The building was so close that we couldn’t even see what the weather was like outside. Unfortunately, this wasn’t mentioned in the room description or visible in the booking photos. That said, we were out exploring most of the time, so it wasn’t a major issue. I just would have appreciated knowing in advance — it would’ve avoided the surprise. And like I said, I really couldn’t fault the hotel otherwise and didn’t want to make a fuss and let this one thing spoil an otherwise lovely stay.

Staff at check in are very friendly and service minded. The room I was allocated had a bad smell that became worse over night. Asked for a change and that was arranged without any fuss. Beds were rather hard and the cleanliness wasn't 100%.

Good location beside subway and bus stops

The location is quite good, mins walk to subway and bus stops. There is lawson beside the hotel and other convenience shops. Opposite is a Welcia mart and few restaurants around. Going to nikishi market is around 15mins walk. Like other commenters, you can smell some cigarette at the lobby although no one is smoking. Its ok for me since I dont really stay at the lobby for long. Room is clean and spacious. You get tour own toiletries at lobby and they offer wide ranges of things there to use
