“Superb!”
My friend and I were looking for a central hotel that was well connected to the underground system. We certainly got it. The hotel was very clean and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The view from our room was incredible (as was the view from the bar and the breakfast room). Although officially a 3* hotel, this hotel was better then most 4* hotels i have stayed in.
“We'll be Back!”
The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to assist in any need. The only issue at the hotel was the condition of the carpet in the room which was beginning to show some wear although it was clean. The location of the hotel was very convenient with the subway system about 3 short blocks away and the Tsukiji Market about a quarter mile away. The hotel's setting along the Sumida River and within an office/health care services facility area was serene and a welcomed "escape" from the intensity of the inner parts of Tokyo. The lounge on the 32nd floor with a panoramic view of the city and a great view of the Tokyo Tower was a great place for an early evening cocktail. The entire area is full of dining choices from great sushi, yakitori, Japanese noodles to one of the best shops in Japan, Pizza Salvatore. We even found a wine bar featuring European wines. We had a great time all during our stay. We will be back!
“Wow”
Have you ever been somewhere so nice you feel like you don't belong? It was something like that. Fantastic service, spectacular view, and a massage chair to boot put this hotel head and shoulders above any others that I have stayed at.
“Best view of Sumeda river”
The view of the river and bridges is breath taking from certain rooms. The hotel is very comfortable and location is convenient. It does not have much choice in food and restaurants particularly in vegetarian food.
“Good location, great service, nice hotel!”
Stayed here for 5 days in May 2008. The service was great and rooms were very clean and new. Rooms were also large for Japan. There is a 7-11 in the same building as the hotel, which was very convienient, as well as a few restaurants.
“a great place to stay!”
Nice employees, nice views, nice size rooms, nice massaging chair, nice location near Fish market, nice times! We would not hesitate to go back! Much recommended! :)
“New Hankyu Tokyo Hotel”
this is a very nice hotel in a good location with great views of Tokyo. It is right on a river in downtown Tokyo.
“Very Impressive”
Great hotel staff although I had a couple of Lost in Translation moments which we thought was funny. The room they got us was exactly the one advertised on Expedia. My wife and I got our queen-sized bed, a sofa bed for my 5-year old and a cot for my baby. There is still room for the massage chair, a writing desk, another long desk, cable TV (Japanese channels). The bathroom was just the right size and they turn down your beds and change your towels and replenish your toiletries everyday. We stayed for 3 days and 3 nights. The massage chair was an absolute treat after a day of walking and sight-seeing. At Kansai Airport you pay about 100 yen or 200 yen for 10 minutes on the massage chair. We had a great view of the Sumida River and some parts of the city. Absolutely gorgeous just watch the city lights at night. Our family spent one breakfast by the window just enjoying the view from our room on the 33rd floor. I think the hotel occupies from the 32nd to the 38th floor. Tsukiji station (which is on the Hibiya Line) is the closest station and about 10 to 15 minute walk. Tsukiji Fish Market is about 15 minute-walk from the hotel. All in all New Hankyu Tokyo was a great experience.
“Great Hotel”
After staying in tiny capsule like Tokyo hotel rooms, Hankyu was a refreshing change. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff is good and follows English. Great for the price.

Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
