Great choice for business travel

I can highly recommend Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo. My room was roomier than what I am accustomed to in Tokyo and very reasonably priced. The staff was professional and helpful.

Really excellent rooms, good value for money, liked history of the hotel and all the little things they do to set themselves apart from other hotels. The books, traditional crafts (origami), and plentiful complimentary water bottles and drink (tea and coffee) are very good, as are the premium toiletry items.

This was our first hotel, on our first trip, to Japan. The Ryumeikan had a traditional look combined with features comfortable for an American family, such as private bathrooms. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and they even gave me a birthday gift of a card and tin of candy!

Oh so cozy

This hotel felt luxurious with its small yet perfectly cozy room. The wifi kept dropping off but I would stay again even so because the room was so nice. Also, the hotel is conveniently located across the street from Tokyo station.

Very pleasant stay. A nice no frills hotel. Very clean. Bed was a little hard for my taste but the shower was the best I ever had and I have traveled the world! I only used the hotel to sleep as I was busy during the day and night. Located across the street from Tokyo station with great access to the Tokyo Metro and train lines.

Our fourth stay at Ryumeikan did not disappoint. The staff, front desk and restaurant were awesome. They really go out of their way to accommodate. The front desk recommendations for dining were spot on. The restaurants they recommended all had English menus and were very good and moderately priced. The rooms are rather compact but you can opt for more space at a higher cost, of course. The only negative I can recall is the exchange rate for the dollar. It seemed low compared to other places but then again it could just be timing...

Close to Tokyo Main Station.

Overall was good. Was able to store our bags at the hotel as we were too early to check in. Staff was helpful. Wasn't able to find our way to the 1st destination. Staff was able to provide us with instructions on how to go there. Arrived back at the hotel at night to check in & realized our bags has been placed in our room. Free Wi-Fi was available, strong connection. Easy to get to hotel. Tokyo Main Station, exit Yaesu North exit, turn left & will be able to see the hotel. Is around 5 mins walk to hotel. Will stay there again the next time.

Location was great, it was about a 6 minute walk to Tokyo Station. However, the only issue we had was the AC. They had English instructions on how to work the AC and we followed it and set it to the the coolest temperature available (20 degrees C). However, the room did not cool down at all. We brought this up to the front desk. The nice lady went back to the office and after a while said that she changed our settings and made the room cooler. We waited all night but it still did not cool down, unfortunately. We had to sleep uncomfortably for two nights. That was the only negative experience we had. Otherwise, room was nice and spacious, front desk was friendly and location was great.

The Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo is conveniently located to many of the transportation options in Tokyo. It was easy to get around from this central base. The room was clean, staff was great, and the breakfast buffet had wonderful choices. The one glitch was the working of the air conditioning upon arrival. The staff worked on it and it got working but it was very warm for a bit upon arrival.
