"Unfortunately first impressions of this hotel were of a tired property in need of updating. The bar and restaurant appeared to be clean and well presented. We had a drink in the bar but did not use the restaurant. Bedrooms are a good size and the bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and tea/coffee available. We also had a small television. What really lets the room down was the dirty tired bathroom. The window blind in the bathroom was mouldy, the toilet was stained at the u bend. It didn’t look like it had ever been bleached. The shower was mouldy and needed a good deep clean. The bedroom carpet was also stained and needed a shampoo. The bedroom and bathroom windows were old metal frames which did not close properly. This made the room cold and draughty. Overall I think the accommodation needs investment to make it more attractive. "
