"The location is good - easy to get to from Heathrow (and back again) using the regular local bus. This is not very expensive either - so not bad for an airport hotel close to Heathrow. The breakfast was pretty good - the fried eggs were hard (i.e. left out on the hot plates too long) and croissants crunchie (i.e. too toasted) BUT the range was good. My main criticism is that the air-conditioning system seemed to be totally broken. You could turn it on, but it did not do anything (i.e., it did not make the air cooler). Your only hope was to open the window at night, but that was very noisy. And the air-conn system just turned itself off after a couple of hours of not doing anything. Pointless! And given how hot it was - the hottest day in England in history according to the BBC - this was a big failing! I've stayed at the Leonardo at Heathrow 1-2 times a years for a lot of years, but I'm seriously rethinking that. Sleep requires some temperature control."

"Top class hotel. Great location, ample parking, rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and Carliccios restaurant was also good for dinner. Gym and pool were an added bonus for a London hotel although gym equipment a little dated. Overall a faultless stay and very good value for money considering the location and amenities"

"We have stayed at the Sofitel London Gatwick Hotel before and their service has always been exceptional. On this overnight stay, because we had an early flight to catch, their efficiency at check-in was even better than I remembered. Other VIP access hotels have many times not given the perks at their front desk check-in. I had brought that to the attention of Hotels.com and an agent said if the hotel is not forthcoming, that we should ask for the perks we are entitled to when staying at a VIP access properties. The front desk agent, Mo, was excellent. Everything was already prepared including the voucher for 20% off food and beverage. The bed, bed linens and pillows were heavenly. The room was clean. Staff offered to make reservations for us at one of their restaurants. We ate at the Mediterranean one. Food was delicious. One thing to note; the Chinese restaurant does not honor the 20% voucher but you are told this at the front desk and so it is not a surprise. I would definitely stay here again. All the special requests we made, were honored. There is a breakfast card on the door. If you fill it out by or before 2am, your order is delivered to the room at your chosen time. We had to check-in by 8am and so got the chance to have breakfast in the room before check-in."

"We stayed at the hotel last night and had a great experience. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working in the spa today and David at the front desk. We had a small problem with our first room, but David was amazing and sorted everything out quickly by moving us to another room with no hassle at all. His customer service really made a difference to our stay. Overall, we had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again!"
