"Very disappointing overall. Upon arrival, the receptionist couldn’t find our booking because it had been accidentally deleted by the reservation team. Thankfully, a helpful manager eventually provided us with a room. The room itself was quite small, with tiny beds and a poor layout. The bathroom had a large, unused empty space, while the main room barely had enough space to place luggage on the floor. There was no fridge, and the decoration was very basic and uninspiring. Also had a strong strange smell. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and seemed fairly new, and the garden area is nice. However, the hotel was hosting a wedding during our stay, which made it quite noisy. Overall, I would avoid booking this hotel."

"The hotel is very close to RHS Wisley, which is why we booked it. The staff (Nicholas, in particular) and others were very welcoming and helpful. The inn is historically interesting and the room we had was a four poster and very large. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a kettle, an electric fan and a heater, TV. However, ameneties other than a shower/body wash were lacking. No shower cap or sachets of moisturiser/hand soap provided. The bed was large and OK for one night. We had a meal there. The portions were generous, the dining area was very light and pleasant. The breakfast was good with cooked options, as well as pastries and bread and juices. This is not a large chain hotel with everything available to you. It is a uniquely old and charming hotel with capable and friendly staff at front of house, the restaurant and bar. If you need somewehere very close to Wisley RHS that won't break the bank and has a bit of " Je ne sai quois " about it, then this fits the bill very well."

"I think it’s mean to charge £10 for a quick swim ( which is what most people want) in the morning. On top of £177 which I paid for the room. The beer was meant to be Fullers Pride It was £7 per pint and was so gassy, my colleague and I couldn’t drink it. THAT is not how London Pride is served. I have stayed twice and will be looking for better value elsewhere"

"The room was very comfy, and clean. But it is not well soundproofed, and there was a lot of noise in the corridor at 730….. otherwise, a good place to stay and very good value "

"Hotel is quite good. Like most hotels in England it’s a bit soulless. But it’s fine. Watch the parking situation - although I checked with a staff member about parking charge (and being reassured I was ok) I got £120 fine. Staff thee sorted it for me ok, but because I was in hire car aero car are looking for £50 off me. "
