"If you have a long layover in Brunei airport, this is a great option. Just downstairs from the departure gates, it is just 2 min walk to departure. Includes some vouchers for drink and food machines, but even when one didn't work, it was only $1 to buy"

"If it is your first time visiting Brunei, Higher Hotel might be one of the best budget options you could go for. The area is safe, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is manageable. Morning privacy options (like a simple "Do Not Disturb" sign) and some help with transportation would help put it even higher in the future. As is, it's a fair option located not too far from the hotel and near some shopping areas. "

"When I checked in, I was told by the hotel that they did not have my reservation. I showed them Hotels.Com booking confirmation but they insisted that they did not received any emails from Hotels.Com on my booking. I was lucky they was still room available and I managed to get the same room rate offered by Hotels.com. Not sure whether it was Hotels.com fault or the hotel itself. Staff was helpful in letting me change rooms when the wifi wasn’t great in my first room, which I greatly appreciated. "I was happy with my stay here - clean bathroom, spacious bedroom, friendly staff. The hotel is within walking distance to the Royal Regalia Museum, the Saifuddien mosque & the Yayasan shopping mall. The hotel arranged for a private tour for me for a reasonable price which included the city tour & tour of Kampong Ayer & the mangove forest. There is also a complimentary shuttle to the Gadong Night Market. I would stay here again."
