"What I loved was the proximity to the beach and that the architectural design reflects St. Augustine and its Spanish heritage. The grounds were attractive and well-manicured. The day staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, while the night staff was professional in a quiet way. We liked the free availability of the 2-item small and light plus juice breakfast- the freshly baked blueberry scone was tasty! There are a couple of washers/dryers for a fee, very helpful when you are driving for days. The room had a slight odor covered over with bleach, perhaps from something a previous guest put in a microwave. The showerhead is older and the tub felt weirdly plastic. However, all in all, we loved the place and would return again if down in this area!"

"It was a historic inn. You could tell that the owners took care of the place. The owner helped carry up our luggage, knew good places to eat etc. Place was within easy walking distance to the historic town center and the Castillo of San Marcos."
