The room was spacious, clean and well presented and the staff were pleasant. The air conditioning didn’t seem to really work however and the toilet took a lot of effort to flush.

Solo single-night stay and would happily return.

Lovely spacious room, huge bed, and generous sized bathroom, and all at a very acceptable standard, especially for the price. Every member of the staff was a delight, and a real credit to the hotel. And if my heart sank little on arrival because of the rather main road, it was soon lifted by exploring on foot - the docks are about two minutes walk away, and the city centre and great pubs etc are right on your doorstep. I would definitely use again.

The hotel is being used to house asylum seekers and should disclose that. Very noisy with security guards at reception. Not an enjoyable stay with much better available close by for the same price.

Great location. The room was huge and comfortable. Good breakfast. The only thing to point out is that we were not allowed to check in before 3pm when some other friends had no issues doing it. It looked like a random decision as we were not even asked for the booking details

We had a lovely room however, there were a pair of unsightly and heavily stained men's underwear in the room. Aside from that, all was well.

I was concerned as there are a lot of poor recent reviews . Only gripe was gym being refurbished - but that is just one of those things. Thought parking at £17 per day was excessive. Great room - prestige - breakfast very good. Staff , amazing!

This hotel is in need of work. The cleaning team need to be retrained. The reception team and restaurant staff are, however, excellent.

Solid performance but work to do on the breakfast

Pleasant stay, decent enough location. Walked there from the train station in 10 minutes or so. Staff were helpful. Breakfast could have been better. Eggs were a little old and rubbery, beans had a crust - breakfast staff need to give them a stir now and then. Staff managed to get one coffee machine working for the last 5 minutes of 40 minutes I was at breakfast.

Mercure Bristol Holland House

Hotel was very busy with early Xmas celebrations but staff were their normal friendly and efficient selves, Premier Room was normal high standard but for the shower in a bath which was without any safe means for a 70+ to get in and out of. Parking was its normal pot luck for a central city car park with no reservation for hotel guests.

This hotel is conveniently located and has spacious rooms but is very dated. The air con was extremely loud and didn’t cool the room at all. It February we were so hot we could hardly sleep. I dread to think what it would be like in the summer.
