This is a beautiful resort would recommend to anyone, the only downside was the food, expensive and poor quality and quantity, drinks were also expensive.

This is a fabulous resort. We were there off season and it was pretty quiet. We enjoyed that. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. And as a bonus it is on a beautiful beach.

The staff. All were excellent. I have trouble walking and the number of staff who tried to help me was astounding from the lady who got a trolley and put our luggage on it while I was waiting for hubby to park. A number of staff checked up on me as I was struggling to breath while walking to our room. Wished we had come down earlier in our he week so we could have enjoyed the resort. (We were there for a wedding). Will come back down for a longer stay soon.

Abbey Beach Resort was much better than expected with a lovely roomy apartment that was reasonably well equipped. Not one, but 3 pools to choose from, 2 outside and 1 heated indoor pool. We only used the indoor pool and loved it. Often we were the only ones there. All staff we came into contact with were wonderful, especially the ones who cleaned our room. They were very friendly and efficient, lovely people. We normally travel by caravan but decided to spoil ourselves this time. Would we stay here again - absolutely. The only negative was after a swim one morning we decided to get a cuppa a slice of cake from the cafe. The lady there was busy drying a tray. Then she wiped one bench, then another, etc. she looked up and saw me at least 4 times and not once did she acknowledge me or ask what I required. Maybe she was only the kitchen hand, but then she could have let me know someone would not be far away. After waiting for 10 minutes, we decided to go to Dôme cafe in town for a cuppa. Apart from this lack of service, the rest of our stay was wonderful

Nice spacious room. When coming from outside, you have to be aware ofctge first step to the stairs, it is sideways to the rest of the stairway and its easy to trip on.

The property was beautiful with a nice walk to the beach, the rooms were spacious with everything you need. The bath/hot tub was a feature that was well enjoyed. Arrived early and they accomodated us, no pillow covers upon entering room but mentioned to reception and problem was instantly resolved.

If you look beyond the dated decor, the property is ideally located on a beautiful beach setting. The rooms are spacious. Set up for families with 3 pools and landscaped gardens. Value for money, during peak holiday season. Friendly, helpful staff.

The gym equipment wasn't working properly and the sauna was out of order, the pool needs a good clean. The pics on the website are outdated and misleading. However the restaurant and staff were amazing

Abbey Beach Resort has been a family holiday place for us for many years. It is still has great location and facilities, is clean and comfortable, but could be updated. The staff are fantastic, efficient and courteous and friendly. The Hotels.com prices are excellent!

Was grateful that they let us check in early 1pm as my wife wasn’t feeling well and needed to lie down but that was turned on its head when work men were drilling into walls close by a few times for the afternoon so she didn’t get the rest she needed. Also the place needs a bit of work the hallway carpets are stained a lot, cracks in floor tiles on main stairway at reception, walls are paper thin we could hear a child crying all night and they were 3 rooms down. Also for over $400 you would think breakfast would be included but no it’s $29 for a buffet breakfast
