"The property is very nice overall, but there are a few problems. It is located in the historic Sintra district. Access is difficult because access to the historic center is limited to local taxis and vehicles that paid for the privilege. Other cars were stopped by poles in the road that you need a remote or special code to access. When I called the property, they were a little help when I asked for a local taxi company. A store gave me the number to a local taxi and we use them throughout the weekend. Further, when you do get close to the property, it is located down several steps from the street. At the top of this is a gutter so the steps are uneven and it is difficult to get your suitcases over it. Then when you get down to the level where the entrance is there are another five steps back up into the property. As we are 67 and 75, it’s all proved challenging."

"Beautiful house with gardens on a mountain side. The house is gorgeous inside with ornate furniture and pretty decor. Amazing staff - very friendly and helpful. There are cozy places to sit in the common area and courtyard with an old tree and the benches in front of the house are welcoming and relaxing. The breakfast was great two - delicious bread, fruits, cold cuts, cheese and beverages. One thing to mention - the house is multi level with cute stairs going up and down, but no elevator. This was a great stay - my husband and I loved it."

"We had a wonderful stay in Sintra. The location was absolutely perfect, with all the main attractions within walking distance. It was so convenient to be able to walk and explore the beautiful sights of Sintra without needing a car. Our room was a pleasant surprise — very spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. After a day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable and relaxing space. The only downside is that Sintra becomes very quiet in the evening. Most of the boutiques and shops close around 7:00 p.m., and restaurant kitchens generally close by 8:30 p.m. at the latest, so there isn't much happening at night. However, we discovered a special place about 1.5 km away that was open until 1:00 a.m., which was perfect for us! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The excellent location, spacious and comfortable room, and proximity to all the major attractions made it a great base for discovering beautiful Sintra. We would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to explore Sintra on foot."
