"Had a great stay. The views are amazing, as is the sound of the surf! The Superior rooms on the 3rd floor are nicer than the Standard 2nd floor rooms, which are looking a bit tired. But the views from all are fantastic. Viewed the Master Suite, and it was amazing! BIG thanks to all the staff. The service was fantastic!"

"The room was beautiful, everyone at the hotel made our stay extra special. We were stayed 2 nights with our 4yo and everyone was amazing and so accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and everything was prepared at the moment. Laundry service was prompt and everything was very well done. Would definitely stay again, probably would even add one more night."

"The hotel is in an excellent location (which is why I chose it), opposite the National Palace and a short walk from the main town square with all the restaurants and bus stops. The rooms are very spacious and well-equipped, but the air-conditioning is TERRIBLE and hardly works at all! The breakfast was excellent (although there is not really enough room for all the guests and we had to wait for a table to become free on the first morning). Big drawback: whilst it's in a great spot, the hotel is also located next to the municipal recycling bins! This means that at night it's very noisy with people (assume local restaurant staff) emptying their bottles etc into the bins as late as 3am and the council coming to empty the bins around midnight. Owing to the poor air conditioning we had to sleep with the balcony door wide open, to avoid the room being like a sauna, which meant the noise from ourside was really bad. So whilst I would 100% recommend this hotel, I would also suggest very strongly paying the extra money to stay on the garden side of the building, not the front side. That, I'm sure, would be quieter!! We tried to switch rooms, but were told the hotel was full. If I return to Sintra, and I would really love to as it's an amazing place, I would stay at this hotel, but on the valley side and not the Palace side."

"Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a narrow, hallway-style shape. Our knees touched the wall in front of us when sitting on the toilet. The room was slightly humid (end of April stay). The wifi did not work for me, but did off and on for other guests. The hotel was hard to find because there is no number “23” to mark the address. We missed the small plaque posted at the beginning of a stone wall/fence down below the yellow building. You walk up a driveway to the building once you see the plaque. We had a very good sleep because the town of Sintra is very quiet in the evenings after the day-trip tourists leave. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night. No restaurants were open to serve dinner/food after 10 pm. Shops were closed evenings."
