My only gripe would be that it would be nice to have bedside lamps and complimentary tea/coffee in the room but otherwise an excellent hotel. "

"We stayed at the Fairmont for 4 nights. The location between Copacabana and Ipenema beach is fantastic. Our room had a view onto the sugarloaf and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching people on the beach and in the water. We only had one dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was amazing. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. Rooms were spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. The shower pressure was excellent. But most importantly, the staff were always helpful and nice. I highly recommend this hotel."

Carlos at the front desk upgraded our room and made check in a breeze. The roof top pool is also amazing. I definitely would recommend this hotel. "
