The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando

2/10 Terrible

"Staff was extremely rude while checking in, was NOT informed there was an additional $300 hold on a major credit card, women at front desk refused to use a debit card while talking badly in Spanish not realizing I speak fluent Spanish. Extremely unprofessional. We arrived Saturday- house keeping didn’t clean/replace towels, until Monday night when we left Tuesday morning. My watch and money was missing from the room which we locked one of the bedroom doors prior to heading down to the pool. Food was horrible, I ordered chips and salsa and 2 drinks. Total amounted to $74 AFTER tip when I did not tip on my card, we left $5 cash. 0/10 recommend- room was not even clean when we arrived, AFTER speaking with front desk yet again, was told hotel is completely full so we cannot change rooms but there was still reservations thru Expedia & on the grove website. Never again, very disappointed!!!"

Westgate Towers Resort

"The front desk agent, Sara, that handled check in wasn’t welcoming or friendly at all so it wasn’t the best start to our stay at the Westgate. However, the room was excellent and clean which matters most to us. They offer a lot of amenities since you have access to their sister resort (Westgate villas). I would likely return, but ideally would want to check in with someone else. Westgate is a brand with a reputation to protect and should really have people who enjoy working in hospitality working the front desk because they are the face of the hotel and that first impression sets the tone for a stay."

10/10 Excellent

"The property was beautiful, clean and the staff was great. The only problem I had was the representative pushing me to take a two hour tour for their timeshare opportunities. The more I said no the more he tried to give me extra incentives to take the tour. He was too pushy and wouldn’t take no for an answer until I tore up the form and asked for my parking pass. Other than that my stay was great. They offer free bikes to ride, put-put golf, and shuffleboard. I was able to have my Walmart order delivered with no problem. We will book there again."

"We reserved a two bedroom accomodation with one king bed and one queen bed that was prepaid in full on Expedia. Upon arrival, we were given a handicap accessible condo with two queen beds. We contacted staff who then said they would contact the manager, but as of today (5/26) have not heard back. We really needed the king bed. Having as smaller bed was a major inconvenience. There were more economical options in the market if all we needed was two queen beds. Did not like that manager did not follow up with us immediately."
