OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa

OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa

8/10 Good
"Great location. Be aware that Dukes has yet to open. Little movement in construction. Could use a bit more renovations. Consistency in service and more management and quality spotters walking around and checking on guest satisfaction. Customer service is spotty and inconsistent from one employee to another. The location is nice but overall 3.8 is the rating. They need to be honest about Dukes as it has been in progress for 2 years."

"Personal hotel bonito pero lo único que tengo que decir es que el cuarto tenía una alfombra que olía a puros miados"

PACIFIC 19 Kona

"This is the fourth Queen Lili’uokalani Outrigger Paddle race where we’ve stayed at the Pacific 19. The proximity to the Kona pier makes the location extremely convenient for the races, and the hotel is centrally located to all the fun things Kona has to offer. This year, we had a first floor room, located steps away from the filtered water dispenser and with easy access to the hotel lobby morning coffee. The pool is large, clean and inviting, and the outdoor space is well lit and nicely appointed. The open air lobby is quite beautiful and a nice place to meet friends. The staff is warm and helpful. We are already planning our next visit."

"Great location! Everything was very close by. The pool and the beach were excellent. Snorkeling at the beach was ok but it gets better if you go further out. Our room had an issue with ants during our trip. The hotel just sent housekeeping over but the ants kept coming. Also my beach front view was blocked by a big tree and it was also very noisy in some mornings with the gardeners. Despite all of this, I still had a great time in Kona! There are some great beach parks within a 10-15 mins drive too!"

"The only problem we had was with the tv reception. Normally not a problem but because there was a possible hurricane entering our home vicinity we wanted to keep informed of what was happening"

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort

8/10 Good
"Beautiful property, individual thatched-roof homes feel very authentic and very much vacation vibe. The restaurants are good (there are three - the Moana main restaurant, then two beach restaurants) but the cocktails were inconsistent. The breakfast buffet is excellent but expensive at $60. The water sports are limited. The front desk service was also inconsistent - a long check-in experience but then very helpful during the stay. Two beautiful pools. Gorgeous property. Excellent spa with great massage and plunge pool (hot and cold). Spa access is free even without a treatment Careful when you book to note if your room is ocean view or ocean front. And note that there is a $95 per room per day resort fee"
