The food at Pelangi, especially breakfast, was great! "The sea view was great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, there were a few things to take note of. The power points on the balcony didn’t work, so we had to check around the apartment to find out which ones were working. No toothbrushes were provided initially. They only provided them after we requested, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries. For food, I would recommend grabbing food from outside as it’s much cheaper. Only one restaurant at the resort was open during our stay, and the prices were quite expensive. There are some shops outside, but the choices are limited. There are also 24/7 shops nearby, which are convenient for emergency purchases. Breakfast was fair—not too bad, but nothing special. Room cleaning could also be improved. The cleaning was quite basic, and the restroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, do check whether the balcony has been cleaned, as ours wasn’t cleaned until we specifically asked them to do it. One good thing is that Parade Mall is right beside the resort. It has a supermarket, money changers, and baby shops, which was very convenient for us."

"Had 2 bed apartment which was huge, kitchen is better than most apartments have in the UK! Downside was facing the noisy building work which starts early in the morning and goes on till late evening. Another hotel is being built which does obscure the view to the sea. This will most likely go on for at least another year as hotel being built. Breakfast is a let down, if you go nearer the end, nothing is replaced. One day we had to queue for 30 mins for a table for which they are short. Wifi in hotel is hit and miss. Not enough sunbeds and only 3 umbrellas! At least pool is open till 10pm. Not sure why they require room numbers to get a towel. Overall a decent value for money hotel, however definitely not 5 star. Best in the area and modern. Good location"
