"We had high hopes when we arrived at Shangri-la Golden Sands and the staff were nothing but polite, pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. However, we quickly noticed that our bathrooms weren’t the cleanest - there strands of hair everywhere and a slight smell of sewer. There were plumbing issues - which the hotel fixed upon request. The dinner buffet was very mediocre and somewhat disappointing- only because I associated Shangri-la with better buffet food."

"My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights. We liked this hotel very much. The staff were excellent. We had a spacious suite on the 11th floor. The pool was nice ( nicer without the pop music ). It was a nice place to come for relaxation. Only negative was the beach . We want to come back to this Doubletree again anyway because the staff was so welcoming , nice room, pool, and good price. Thank you! "

"The room was spacious and clean with a lovely shower and separate toilet and bath. the room was serviced each day and bottled water and towels provided. Tea and coffee making facilities supplied. The breakfast Buffet was well presented with a nice variety of food. The staff were very courteous and attentive. The pool staff were excellent along with the food service poolside staff. We have been holidaying many times at the Bayview Beach Resort and never been disappointed with our choice of venue. congratulations to all the lovely staff who made our holiday such a lovely experience. "

"Hotel needs to get more new bath towels and provide wash cloth and hand towels. Also had to ask for shampoo and body wash gel. Towels are very very old. Shower does not work properly. Room gets very hot, ac only works when in room with room key, should have better system. Location was great but won’t stay here again"
