Beautiful old buildings that have a rustic charm. Two adorable cats live on the property and visited us at our villa. The staff was also very cheerful and friendly, and made us feel so at home and welcome. We hope to visit again.

You will not regret
Amazing stay that will make you fall in love with nature if you haven't already. We even extended one more night (3 nights total) and it was perfect. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Bathroom was clean and spacious, and no complaints with hot water. You get the old-time feel with upgraded comfort. Would definitely stay again. It definitely will destress you and your body will thank you for it.

Unforgettable Experience in Langkawi
An absolute gem of a place; you can't go wrong spending a few nights here. From the 200-year old traditional Malaysian houses and the amazing floating pool to the incredible service and tasty food, Kunang- Kunang Heritage Villas is the pearl of Langkawi.

The traditional cottage made by wood is fantastic. The owner is very friendly and staffs service is really good.

wonderful experience!
This place is incredible. The rooms are beautiful and offer a unique experience. As well, the service is amazing - everyone at the hotel is kind and accommodating (even the owner took time out of his day to meet us and talk to the kids). At night, they made sure our room was mosquito-free, and the owner gave my girls some beautiful stuffed animals.

U can feel the real experience of malay culture here. Breakfast was superb with variety of food. Room was clean and also staff very friendly. Recommended and definitely will repeat to stay here again.

Fabulous place
Incredible accommodation, service and hospitality. Perfect place for my family and I to stay. Quiet and secluded but easy to get a Grab taxi anywhere on the island. Food and drink good and we would definitely return. Good value for money compared to other resorts on Langkawi.

Beautiful old teak bungalows/cottages situated overlooking a pond and mountains. Manager (Ilya) was charming. Breakfasts could be better and more flavorful. Location is not close to anything so you must have a car.

This accommodation was unique, comfortable and chilled despite being really close to the airport. The staff were really helpful, polite, courteous, & the service was exemplary. The room was really comfortable, spacious with everything you needed. The pool was an oasis in a wetland. Surreal seeing planes taking off while swimming. The environment certmade up for the occasional noise from planes which stopped a new get anyway. Great stay close to the airport.

Kunang was heaven. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even went out to buy paracetamol from the local pharmacy. The food was very good. The whole place was completely chilled out. I would certainly go again.

We had a wonderful peaceful stay in Kunang Kunang over the New year period. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool and location with the natural pond was amazing also. very handy to the airport and to nearby beaches. Highly recommended

Beautiful, charming, authentic - but some noise
This is a beautiful place to stay for those looking for something a bit more authentic. Be warned that they are extending the hotel at the moment and there are some very noisy building works going on - this only affects some of the villas, so if you think you'll be relaxing in the villa during the day, you might want to request one of the villas at the back, away from the noise. Don't let this put you off booking here - this is a great place and very unique - a welcome change from the standard boring hotel format you find everywhere else. The setting is beautiful and so charming. Breakfast could be better - but there is an egg station, which is great. You're also pretty near to the town where there are tonnes of food options.

Tranquil location away from the hustle and bustle
Beautiful authentic accommodation in landscaped grounds. Wonderful attention to detail. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, helping to suggest and book trips even at the last minute. Taxi ride into town is required but this is easy and cheap. Lovely to be away from the chaos and in amongst the rice paddies.

Nice heritage style hotel
We were couple with two toddlers, smooth check in and check out. Very clean environment and good service. Only thing was missing was some play area within Villa for kids. Also the location is a bit off the main road which is fine for quietness etc but the road approaching villa was not concrete so wasn’t safe we felt. Rest all was pleasant stay.

We were a group of 12 pax (with kids and elderly people) and booked 4 rooms. Buddy is very friendly and accommodating and went out of his way to ensure that we were all comfortable and settled. Rooms were very well decorated and clean. Highly recommend this place :)

Gorgeous villas
Stayed at the Kutai room (number 1) and it was perfect size for couple (also includes a single bed too for a young child). The room is absolutely gorgeous and clean! You have to take off your shoes inside but this is what I usually do at home so it was not a problem. It is beautifully decorated and even has airconditioning! Love the rustic feel of the place. Sadly got bitten by mosquitoes the whole night despite the mosquito net and and AC turned on. Another minor issue is that the toilet floor gets a bit wet sometimes, but dries up quickly at least. The tub is really unique but sadly I did not get a chance to try it! It does not have TV but you don't need it - enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility instead! The pool is also very unique and they also provide cute floats! Staff are very friendly, especially Buddy who is always making sure that you're settled in and checks in to see if you need anything. The breakfast spread is very limited and quite heavy, but pleasant. Love the chicken curry and epok epok! The food is also great if you order from the restaurant. The kuey teow goreng was very good! The location is very peaceful. The premise is very quiet. The villas are situated apart from each other so no noisy guests whatsoever. You can hear the swaying of trees and animals at night. There is a construction site in the area but you don't hear any noise. I would definitely recommend this place. Just some minor tweaks and it would be perfect. Would stay here again!

Beautifully designed hotel
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Kunang Kunang over Christmas. The staff are wonderful, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the 200 year old traditional Malay villas are beautifully designed, very large and comfortable. We were worried that the villas were very close to the airport, which they are. But we didn't find this an issue and the planes did not disturb our stay. We would highly recommend staying here for your Langkawi holiday.

A beautiful and peaceful, traditional haven.
It began with a warm, inviting smile from our host, Buddy, as we were met at the airport. Our traditional Malay-styled villa was quite simply beautiful and we had the most restful time - perfect after a very busy and stress filled year! Wir hatten uns aufgrund der guten Bewertungen leider mehr von der Unterkunft erhofft. Die Hütten sind voll mit Gelsen und vielen Spinnenweben. In der Nacht hört man am Dach Vögel die Nester bauen, Geräusche der Nachbarn oder einer Moschee. Im Bad riecht es sehr intensiv nach schlechtem WC-Duft und die Holzbadewanne war undicht sodass sie nicht benutzt werden konnte. Das Frühstück war grundsätzlich in Ordnung.

정말 좋은 경험이였습니다. 랑카위 최고의 숙소, 위치가 걱정됐었지만 현지인에게도 유명한 곳인지 대부분 그랩기사가 잘 찾아가더라고요. 매일 바뀌는 조식, 자연친화적인 숙소 분위기 다 너무 좋았습니다. 아침에 기도소리, 비행기소리, 벌레소리, 빗소리들이 아울러지는 조화 또한 좋았습니다.

傳統建築種享受舒適愜意的渡假時光
住宿兩晚，非常喜歡。 住宿在傳統建築內非常有異國旅遊的渡假放鬆之感。非常乾淨也很重視細節，不會因為傳統建築而感到任何不方便，員工友善，泳池在蓮花池中非常特別！WiFi 很強，房間有木頭泡澡桶非常放鬆。硬要說一個缺點大概就是要到飯店的碎石路稍微顛簸了一點，早餐普通但每日都會稍微變化!
