"This hotel is located in a good area. There are two different subway lines that are very close by. There are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby as well. The hotel felt very safe, and the rooms looked like the pictures. Breakfast was varied, and the pool was a great way to deal with the heat. There was also a small playroom for younger children. Generally, this is a good place for families to stay."

"The Grand Hyatt in Taipei dates back several decades but it has been well maintained and renovated over the years. As a result, it feels quite new and the facilities are modern and in many cases quite beautiful. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained (and clean). Their standard King room isn't luxurious, but it's comfortable and well-outfitted. Very close to the 101 Tower and other shopping outlets. Adjacent to convention center. Superb breakfast buffet and various other restaurants as well."

"Everything was perfect! I couldn’t find a single thing wrong with the hotel. The onsen was nice and location was right next to the train station. I will probably stay here again next time I come back to Taipei"

"I had a fantastic stay at Nikko Hotel with my partner for a special birthday getaway. The hotel went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary room upgrade and even surprised us with a birthday cake in the evening. Their thoughtfulness and warm hospitality truly made our stay memorable and special. We’re so grateful for the kind gesture and exceptional service. "This hotel was very well kept, clean, and recently refurbished. The staff downstairs were very friendly and helpful. They took care of my postage and delivery of postcards to canada. They provide some snacks and drinks in the room, which are refilled when the room is cleaned. The pool is beautiful and there is always staff on duty as a lifeguard. The sauna doesn't allow you in with clothes, which wasn't my jam. The beds were firm, the air con strong and it was a very pleasant stay. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate Hotel in Ximending, Taipei. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the MRT/subway station, surrounded by endless dining options, massage parlours, and within easy walking distance to everything in Ximending. We booked the Executive Suite since we were traveling with four large suitcases, and the room was adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable. The standout, however, was the exceptional service—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our room included daily complimentary breakfast, offering a great selection of both Western and local dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-presented—though it can get crowded at peak times. Overall, Westgate Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei. Highly recommended for both location and hospitality."
