I had a nice stay. The holiday inn is a little spot of sanity in a very chaotic place! The rooms were very clean, the shower pressure/internet were strong. Service was very friendly. The really nice pool you see in the photos though is only for guests staying in the villas. The location is good cause ur right on the beach. I underestimated how trashy/sordid patong beach is so coming back to this quiet/clean hotel was really important to me enjoying my stay. The staff also coordinated two really cool tours to phi phi islands and krabi which was nice.

Overall I thought the hotel was okay - not great. The rooms were fairly basic and seem like they have not been updated in a while. The kids pool was the best part of the stay. The other pool was fine, but hard to get service for drinks/food. Service at Terrazzo was slow. Food and service at Charm Thai were good.

Location is very good, just 1 min walk from beach. There are variety of dinning options near the hotel, but most of them are run by Indians (not Thai ethnic people). The hotel is a little bit old, but the equipment/amenities are refreshing. Its a little bit expensive for young people, but a good option for family with kids.
