"We had 5 days and it wasnt enough. We thoroughly enjoyed it from check in to check out. We got a room at the hotel jetty and all the hotel Amenities were within feet away. I loved the private beach, the gym, the balcony and the wildlife. Special mention to Shenthi (French intern, in case I spelt the name wrong!). Honestly, we will be returning soon. Few things to help planning- closest 7/11 store is a can ride, so pack up on snacks."

"I booked Bayview Hotel Langkawi through Hotels.com for my sister, her husband and their daughter. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The room was booked for three people with three beds, but one mattress was in very poor condition. It was extremely uncomfortable and you could physically feel metal through the mattress. There was also a strong and unpleasant smell from the carpet. My sister contacted reception to report the problems. Instead of properly listening and helping, the receptionist repeatedly interrupted her and kept saying that the room was โgoodโ. She was not treated with the level of respect or professionalism expected from a hotel. My sister also explained that her daughter has asthma and was having difficulty breathing, making the strong smell particularly concerning. This caused her considerable distress because she was worried about her daughterโs wellbeing. After a long and stressful discussion, the hotel eventually changed their room. After the room was changed, the hotel apologised for the issues. While we appreciate that another room was eventually provided and that an apology was given, this does not change the fact that the original room had serious problems or the distress caused before the matter was resolved. I have also reported the matter to Hotels.com and will be seeking an appropriate resolution. Very disappointing experience overall. The hotel needs to improve the condition of its rooms and the way reception staff"

"An Exceptional and Unforgettable Stay Our stay at The Datai Langkawi was truly exceptional and one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Malaysia. The breathtaking rainforest setting, beautiful beach, excellent dining and wonderful spa are all remarkable, but what truly distinguishes The Datai is the extraordinary level of hospitality. We are especially grateful to the General Manager, whose personal attention, generosity and genuine care made our stay incredibly special. Taking the time to meet with us personally and ensuring that we felt truly welcomed and valued reflected an exceptional level of hospitality and leadership. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the management team and the wonderful team members at the Nature Centre and Spa. Their warmth, professionalism and thoughtful attention added greatly to our experience. Our thanks extend to everyone we encountered, including housekeeping, concierge, restaurants, transportation, spa and activity teams. Throughout our stay, we consistently experienced kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality. We arrived expecting a beautiful luxury resort, but left with wonderful memories and genuine affection for The Datai and its people. It is a truly special place, and we sincerely hope to return. Five stars, wholeheartedly and without hesitation."
