"Overall it is a nice place with convenient access to major transportations. The hotel is quite old in particular with in unit bathroom sink drainage that I need to pull out the knob to let water flow down. This is something needs to be looked into. Breakfast buffet is fine. "I always stay at the Courtyard Central whenever I'm in Shanghai. The staff is so nice. Shirley was awesome when checking us in. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered suggestions for our check-in. Thanks Shirley!"

"The hotel is super convenient to the Metro line 2 connecting to the airports and train stations easily. Even the ground routes to the rest of Shanghai are convenient and quick as well, so taxis and rideshares are fast. The area has a ton of restaurants and delivery service is easy. If you like walking or jogging, walk up Century Ave to the park at the Science Museum, or a little further to Century Park. Or just take one subway stop. Lujiazui and the riverfront is close too, in the other direction The hotel itself was clean and the bed and room comfortable. Great staff and the buffet breakfast was good. I lived in Shanghai for over ten years, so I know the city well, and chose this for my needs on my return visit. If you like nightlife, you might chose another part of the city in Puxi (though there are bars nearby here), but really with Didi rideshare, it's no big deal getting back. If you want a solid and easy stay in Shanghai with great Metro access, the Courtyard can't be beat."

"The room was large and had a great balcony overlooking the pools. Pools were great but the hotel ran out of towels at the pool and the lady didn’t offer to find more for guests. Both the Japanese restaurant and all day dining had well prepared food which we all enjoyed. "
