Reasonably priced and they were clean rooms. Share bathroom was clean but... at least 6 rooms had to share. This could sometimes be awkward. They ask not to put toilet paper in toilet and had an open basket where to put used paper, that wasn’t emptied too often! No mirror in room, although it did have a hair dryer. Overall the old saying, “you get what you pay for”!

Room basic but clean, friendly and very helpful staff. In our room the mattress needs replacing as the springs could be felt through the mattress cover and made for two restless nights.

Only complaint it the air conditioner did not work and it was too late in the night before we discovered the problem, windows were the type that did not open so room was hot and stuffy. Location was good

Shilla is an awesome place to stay in Sydney. Wooly's across the street with a small mall and a 2 minute walk to the train station. Some of the best Korean restaurants located right across the road and a 7/11 if you need anything in the middle of the night. The staff were really kind and helpful. Room was really well kept and had an amazing air conditioner (Australia is too hot haha). Shared amenities were kept clean and stocked. Great value for money. Will have to stay here again next time I'm in Aussie. 놀라운 숙박에 감사드립니다!

For a last minute booking it was definitely a great purchase for a low price. The woman at the desk was very kind and warm welcoming. She also mentioned the 10% off deal with the Korean bbq place downstairs which was awesome. The amenities were provided in the Ladies shared bathroom which I loved. Thank You! Bathroom/Washroom was very clean and taken care of. Room was clean aswell. The tv was a bit out of service a couple of times BUT I was there only to sleep before travelling back to Western Sydney not to watch tv. So I’d definitely stay here again. Did I mention, Amazing customer Service 👍

We got there and it looks nothing like photos, my friend and I were scared to stay here so we booked to stay somewhere else straight away, still waiting to get out money back!!

Well very rude staff as they know its grand final night made my son and i wait missing game time, hour and half later when it was check in time they still had to clean room, made us wait still, sheets dirty and booked a twin gave us a double rude rude

Great hotel, close to Strathfield train station.
Close to train station, easy access to shops nearby. Clean room and comfy bed. I cannot rate the hotel staff as I came in and left after hours. This worked very well for me as affordable accomodation. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

Entrance to hotel not actually on The Boulevard it is around the corner. Room was ok for an overnight stay. The bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly. Bad points - the towel rack above the toilet was pulled away from the wall and could easily fall. The base of shower and sink had mould growing. There was a big clump of hair behind the waste basket. Air conditioner would not work and kept wanting to be time / program set. There are birds in the trees that are noisy but they stop at night fall. Heavy traffic area and be warned THERE IS NO PARKING AT ALL. More attention to cleaning and maintenance is needed.

Small step up from a hostel
Very disappointed. This was small, no services, no ice, and in a poor location. NOT at all for a business traveler. More for those who want a slight upgrade from a hostel experience.

My stay at Shilla Lodge
A nice little hotel that was well kept, with friendly staff and a location close to everything. Good rooms with appropriate amenities. Appreciated the TV and free Wi-Fi for all the rooms. The shared bathroom was the only downside (clean enough but not very private), so best to book a room with an en suite if possible. Recommended.

Nice and Clean budget lodge in Korean town
It is budget lodge but clean and comfortable. It is also very close to Strathfield station and located in the heart of Korean town. If you love Korean food and don't need to stay in CBD, this can be ideal one for budget conscious travellers.

Comfortable hotel close to the CBD and Attractions
The hotel receptionist is really lovely, very helpful and always smiling and polite. She was very willing to answer questions. The room was spotless and roomy. I had a bathroom, TV and fridge plus desk and cupboards. The room was perfect and the bed was comfortable. Free toiletries were supplied and the room was very reasonably priced.

Good reflection of the Price
Good for the price. Bed was very uncomfortable. Rooms were small but manageable and everything you needed. I would have liked a kettle in my room but should have read the fine print on that one. Otherwise it was quiet at night for the area and air-con was cold. A good reflection of the price. Wifi was temperamental but was good when it worked.

Great location, good room codition

Won't be going back
This was a room with a private bathroom but oh what a let down. The bathroom stank to the point I couldn't use it. Management wouldn't help at all to the point where I bought draino and bleach to help. It made it bearable. The room was cold and organised weirdly with no power points near the bed or no drawers.

Good for short visit without a car
Visiting Sydney for 4 days, needed somewhere close to Public transport. Shilla Lodge excellent - in heart of downtown Strathfield. Nearby Woolworths so easy to provision for breakfast, lots of Korean and Vietnamese Restaurants/Cafes closeby so no problems finding somewhere for evening meals.
