Like the way the staff were only to happy to help What we were disappointed with was we went for an up grade,of $16 dollars which was offered to us by e-mail and when open the balconey doors the noise from the air con was very loud so we had to close them

A terrible rating is the best rating I am able to provide. As an Accor Gold Member my experience at this Sofitel was the worst check in experience that I have ever had at any hotel anywhere in the world. I booked a room in the early hours of Easter Sunday 2023 via Expedia for $320 ($290 for room plus $30 breakfast) which was charged immediately to my credit card upon confirming the booking with Expedia. When I arrived at the Sofitel to check in, the hotel would not honour the booking, despite my credit card having been charged $320 for the room and having in my possession a text message booking confirmation from Expedia with a web link to the booking confirmation in the message, a receipt of the booking total cost and an email from Expedia asking me to rate how my check in experience was going with the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth & despite showing all three confirmations to the hotel reception staff they would not honour the booking. I contacted Expedia immediately to complain and over the following two hours I waited patiently at the hotel reception to be checked in, whilst 3 successive representatives from Expedia telephoned the hotel reception and asked them to honour the booking. After 2 hours waiting in the hotel reception area to check-in I was advised by Expedia that I would need to pay the Sofitel a further $320 for a room to stay the night or have my booking canceled. I could not afford to be $640 out of pocket to stay at the Sofitel so I was left homeless for the night

17 story hotel with 1 out of 4 elevators working when we checked in!!!we had to be taken on the service elevator through the kitchen to our room on the 14th floor. Not good! and the music in the soiree lounge was far too loud-I could not hear my wife who was sitting across the table. I asked for it to be turned down but was ignored. I would NEVER stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone-simply not good enough!
