The first thing is that this hotel is stupidly expensive. Is it comfortable? YES. Is it quiet? YES! Is it pretentious? YES! Is it for the rich, pretty people? YES! The models and similar that hang out in the coffee bar will tell you that. However, it is well managed and the staff are attentive to their jobs, and that is all to the good. Would I recommend it as a place to stay? ….. if you have money to burn and don’t care about having to take taxis or limousines everywhere… it’s fine. Good even, but it’s not for your typical budget tourist. I was forced to choose it because my plan to go to Mt. Fuji fell through and I needed somewhere to stay that was safe and convenient. If you have the resources and this kind of high-end hotel appeals to you…. Go for it.
