This hotel was well-located at Yokohama Harbour. We walked to Cosmo World, the huge Ferris wheel, the air cabins, the tall ship, the Landmark Hotel 69th floor lookout, brickyards,…all the local attractions. And we’re seniors. La veranda restaurant in the hotel serves a great breakfast buffet, with both Japanese and western options. A coin op laundry supplies its own detergent. Got a load done for $3. Dry for a buck. Subway station right down the street. Yokohama is a beautiful city and the Apa tower is perfect. Pay a little more and get a room with a view of the harbour. It’s especially beautiful at night.

Our room was very small, but it was clean and comfortable. The reason I gave such a low rating is because we went to check in early but we were told we couldn’t and had to store our luggage, which was fine. The problem was that when we went back to check in at 3:00 there were so many people who were also checking in that it took 40 minutes of standing in line before we were checked in. I’ve traveled to 65 countries and have never experienced anything like this before. It was very off putting and I wouldn’t go back because of that.

The Good: ・Easy check in, easy check out ・Being a recently built hotel, the property is new and clean. ・It includes a 24hr convenience store built in. ・Has a giant bathing area. ・Food was good there. ・Close to the station The Bad ・Central heating is hotel-controlled, but you can adjust in your room. ・While food was good, dining choices are limited. ・Outside restaurants are sparse in the area. ・The station is not a major one, which means you must be careful when riding on trains (express will skip the station) The Others ・Roomy enough for me, but some might feel squished in. Just remember to store your suitcase under the bed. ・They have some right-wing books on the rack. I don't care, so it's not a problem for me. ・Make sure to get on the correct elevator!

Their A/C system in the rooms are centrally controled. You cannot switch from Heater to A/C and vice versa. On our last night, it was stuck in Heater move and i cannot change it to A/C. I called the front desk and i was told they can't change it either because it is centrally controlled. The windows are sealed and can't be opened. Outside temperature was cold but inside our room it was hot that i cant sleep. The best they can do was a small electric fan. It did help a little bit. I complained about the situation, all i got was an apology from the manager. No compensation for the inconvenience. This is the 2nd APA hotel we stayed at while in 2 different parts of the Tokyo area. Both have their Heater and A/C systems centrally controlled. It's a new building, but their A/C system sucks.

Room was small for twin sharing but that’s to be expected in Japan. Toilet was also small. Nice view of the bay and access to the brick warehouse, world porter and JR stations were good. Just a few stops to Chinatown if you want a break frm Japanese cuisine.

We had a view of the Bay which was nice. They had beds which were raised enough so that you can store bags under. Small room not big enough to keep bags open. Toilet was super small.

The hotel staff were wonderful, the beds were comfortable and the amenities the hotel provided were excellent. Close to subway so getting around Yokohama and Tokyo was easy and convenient.

The value for money is super good with this APA location. loved the family mart convenience store located inside the Hotel. When I visited Yokohama that week it had big rain storm so it was nice that I don't need to even walk out of the building to get food. It is only 5 mins walk to the Red brick wearhouse, and other tourist attractions. 10 mins walking to the JR station was okay for me. the Taxi cost is 700 to 800 yens (less than $6 US). I booked a high floor room with bay view for only $65. will definitely come back again.

The only reason why I didn’t give out 5 stars because the room air-conditioning can’t be controlled which is centralized so our room even set as 16 degrees still is a a warm room that me and my sister feel so hot inside and the hallway air conditioning is cold and chill. If they could set the room able to control the temperature which will be prefect.

Overall, exceptional hotel with great location for seeing the nearby attractions. Short 5 minute walk to the Bashamichi subway station providing access to the entire region. The downsides are the room sizes which are very small for those not accustomed to Japan-sized city temp lodging.

Had an issue with the bed sheets as they gave my partner a rash. It was a real ordeal that took around 2 hours to get new sheets and quilt cover etc. found stains on our quilt in the process as well.
