Perfectly situated for a walk around York! Our room was clean, comfortable and bright. Breakfast was fresh with a wide selection of options available while other restaurant meals served well after a day of activity. Staff were friendly and happy to help with our enquiries. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable reception and dining area. Stayed on a one bed suite room which was good for a young family (2 adults, 2 children). Swimming pool recently renovated on 2024 and is a nice addition to the stay.

Good location and easy to get into the centre of York. The hotel also has plenty of parking, which is a real plus. That said, charging nearly £20 to park overnight feels a little steep, especially when you’re already staying at the hotel. Overall a convenient base, but the parking price does take the shine off slightly.

Pros- Good pool. Great breakfast with wide variety. Lovely restaurant staff. Lovely maintenance staff. Good location a little away from the centre. Some nice restaurants nearby. Plenty of space for paid parking. Comfy beds. Accomodates kids well. Cons- Sewage smell from basin. Reception staff seem a little more overwhelmed than other staff. Signs of wear all over the room - carpets, broken lamp, superficial damage/scratches to bathtub.
