“Service makes up for a bit outdated hotel”

I stayed for one night since i was attending a meeting, and although the hotel itself is a bit outdated and needs some improvements (old carpets and the water coming from the shower smells like dioxide) customer service makes up for it. The breakfast buffet was nice and varied, front desk service was outstanding and everyone greets you with a smile. You cannot ask for more for what you pay for, since Antigua Guatemala is full of new boutique hotels that are really fashionable but go for almost twice the rate here. It is a little far from the central town area but there are complimentary shuttles that come and go from the Central Park. A must try experience? Go gt a Thai Massage at the hotel's spa.

“Expected more”

For the price you pay, you would expect a better bathroom. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom seemed out of place and the tub didn't drain well. The front staff didn't seem too knowledgeable, but I guess it was because one of the girls was in training. They should have someone supervise her at least. They took 20-25 minutes to check me out, which I'm not used to since normally you can just leave the key. I didn't even use any of their amenities. I just expected more for the price I paid, but it is decent.
