“Happy experience at the Ibis Beijing Capital Airpo”
Terrific value. I needed somewhere close to the airport and this compared favourably in comfort, cleanliness and standard of furnishing to any hotel charging a much greater price. Free transport to airport, helpful staff, definitely recommended.

If you are on a budget and looking for a place to sleep for the night, this is your place. It's close to the airport and a Chinese standard IBIS hotel.., not a European standard Ibis hotel. Simple as that.
“Perfect as an airport hotel”
Served the purpose for our trip and provided a free bus to the sirport the next morning. Staff were helpful. Room very spacious. Only complaint was that the bar was freezing cold - but even staff were wearing coats so we wondered if there was a problem with the heating. Chinese restaurant next door had good food and was popular with locals.
“the Atypical Ibis”
Not what you would expect from an Ibis. After having stayed in one before I was very disappointing at the service given. The biggest issue was the internet not working and the staffs apparent lack of concern. They did offer to let me us their computer but it was all in Chinese. The breakfast was very Chinese. I have stayed at better Ibises....Ibis hotels before but this was one of the worst. If anyone did want to stay at this hotel i would recommend it only if you have a late arriving flight and will change hotels the next day.
“Clean modern French design but lumpy bed”
This French chain has good modern furniture and design and was neat, clean but simple. It is a good airport hotel for a stopover about 1 km from the Beijing Airport. A taxi costs 100 yuan (or more) in the middle of the night when the shuttle isn't running. The shuttle runs all day every hour on the hour except after midnight. However, we were extremely disappointed with the bed. It had horizontal ridges every 2 inches from head to toe and made it nearly impossible to sleep if we hadn't been so tired. I think it may have been a box spring and not a mattress. It needs new mattresses or heavy, heavy mattress tops. I finally spread out towels to soften the ridges and my partner wrapped himself in the duvet. The free wireless internet was good enough..
“Disappointing”
Considering the hotel is western owned, it could not be more chinese, with very little concession for the western traveller, ( At least there should be at least one western TV channel available). The hotel is very very tired, in all honesty it should be pulled down and rebuilt. It stinks of cigarettes throughout. On the positive side the hotel was clean and the location to the airport is great, with an efficient shuttle bus. It is cheap, but also I think nasty
