“A special stay”
We spent our wedding anniversary here after a special meal at Purnells in Cornwall Street - literally 300 yards from the door. There were 2 weddings on at the hotel the night we stayed and when we chatted at reception on our arrival and we mentioned our anniversary they upgraded us to a better room with monsoon shower(lovely) and roll top bath in the huge bathroom! We were only sorry that we didn't have time to try it all out! Breakfast service was a bit lacklustre but they were inundated with wedding guests who all descended to breakfast as late as we did so understandable in the circumstances. I'd read the reviews about the rooms being too hot so I made sure I cranked up the aircon and we were fine. Loved the espresso machine and specialty teas on offer. Very clean and nice decor.
