“Best Deal In Town”
One of my best visits to Charleston. I have stayed in several different hotels and B&B's in the Charleston area. This is by far the most enjoyable place and time I have ever had. The hotel is located about 15 miles north of Charleston which makes it very convenlently located to all the attractions downtown or East and West to the adjacent islands. Perfect location!!! The room was always very clean and the staff could not have been more polite and helpful. Also the free continental breakfast is the best that I have seen at any place I have visited. Can not say enough good things about the personel and the manager that keep things working. Thanks to all at Wingate by Wyndham Charleston. I give the stay a 5 star rating. I will be back again. “Wingate Wyndham in Charelston, SC”
We stayed 2 nights the weekend of Feb. 17-18th, and we couldn't have been happier with the room. The only reason I gave the staff a 4 instead of a 5 is because the night shift desk clerk was a little 'curt' and didn't seem to want to be bothered. Everyone else was extraordinarily nice and helpful! The room was clean and beautiful and it was quite easy to get to from downtown historic Charleston...only 15-20 minutes away. I would definitely stay again!
“Great hotel!”
This hotel was in a good area with lots of restaurants and conveniences. About a 10-15 min. ride into Historic Charleston. Staff very friendly and professional. I would stay here again.
“Nice Place.”
Nice location. Easy on/off from the Interstate. Room was bigger than expected and was clean and nicely furnished. I enjoyed the carb-load breakfast altho my college daughter and my wife would have liked some more fresh fruit. This was a great place for the money, nice staff and a well maintained hotel. Good choice!

“Almost perfect”
Fine accommodations for the price. Conditions were like new. The single staff person worked patiently and very hard despite checking in guests, making reservations over the phone and answering questions simultaneously. The breakfast, though ample, was a bit lower in quality that the Country Inn & Suites I stayed in the night before. These are minor criticisms, but are the details that make a difference to those who stay regularly in this class of competing hotels during decision-making. Therefore the lean staff gets A-plus and the management an A-minus.
“Great Hotel”
Couldn't be more happy. Everything was great. the staff was very helpful and courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable for someone with a bad back it was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was a surprise not just cold cereal and mild but eggs and waffles and biscuits and gravy. One night when coming in late after a long day of sight seeing there was warm cookies waiting for us. It smelled so good to come into the lobby. If ever back in Charleston this is the place to stay.

“Excellent New Hotel”
This hotel superceded my expectations. From our first entry into the lobby down to our check-out, we loved it! The location is great - not in a busy city area, but not far away from shopping and eating spots. The complimentary hot breakfast was a plus. It is pretty much self-serve, even with waffle irons, but everything convenient - and I'm not a big breakfast eater! I ate breakfast each morning! You get a greater experience for less money than some of the 3 and 4 star hotels. I would stay here again the next time I'm in North Charleston.
“A great hotel for the price.”
The Wingate was clean and tastefully decorated. It's not plush but it's certainly an upgrade from the Comfort Inn or similar hotels. The room was spacious. The breakfast (included in the price) had eggs, sausage, biscuits, juice, etc. There was a nice pool. The weight room was underwhelming with some basic cardio equipment and one weight machine. All in all, I'd say this is a cut above the standard while maintaining an economic price.
