“Great Stay”
We stayed here before our trip to Great America. Very close to Great America. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold food. The room was big and the kids really enjoyed it. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was small but it was okay since it was not crowded. Also, no restaurants were nearby. We just had food delivered.

“A very nice stay”
I got this hotel just as a place to crash for the night before going to Six Flags and I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting just a single room with a bed and bathroom for the price I got, but instead got a two-room suite with mini-fridge, dining table, and wonderful amenities. The hotel (which also doubles as a golf resort) has very friendly staff, was quite clean, and all around a very pleasant trip. Next time I may make a weekend of it.
“We'll be back!”
I booked through expidia online and took a chance on the discount of not knowing the name of the hotel. I can tell you it was worth it! The hotel was exactly what they said it was and my family enjoyed saving money to spend at six flags. Take the chance, just look out for how many stars the hotel has.
“Wonderful place to stay”
We loved the location of the hotel.There is an 18 hole golf course on site which was great.The hotel is only 3 miles from Gurnee Mills mall.The shopping and restaurant selection around the hotel is endless.Six Flags is 3 miles away also.The staff was friendly and helpful.The rooms and the hotel were very clean.We loved is and will only stay at this hotel when going back to this area!
“Suburban countryside living”
Very quiet area off the beaten path but worth the short drive to experience a bit of quiet midwest living. Near a golf course and away from heavy traffic. Shopping malls nearby and also close to Great America but away from the congestion. The hotel staff were most helpful with directiions and maps of the area. Will stay there again if I am in the area.
“Exceeds my Expectations!”
This is a very nice hotel. The owner himself was there and he was very helpful. Rooms were well laid out and comfortable. Location wise, this is a good place to stay. No road noises or other distractions.
“Great Suite hotel”
The hotel staff were very helpful and nice. The room was very clean and plenty big enough. The pool and hot tub area was very nice and never too full. Breakfast was excellent, nice variety every day.
“Close to the city, yet far enough to get away”
Accidentally double billed, but was taken care of promptly ad professionally.
“Hawthorne Suites...golf resort”
It was a great surprise that this was a golf resort. Nowhere on this website or the actual hotel website does it say that this hotel is right on a golf course. Make sure you bring your clubs!
