“Excellent base”
The hotel is south of the market square - a 15-20 minute walk. It is well appointed and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
“Great Hotel, Great Value”
I could not believe the standard of this hotel for the money we paid, it is absolutely top class! The staff do their best to speak in English and helpful with anything. The hotel is about a 15min walk from the Rynek, where most of the pubs/resturants and clubs are. Highly Recommended!
“Happy with the hotel”
Well, this is a hotel of my childhood; I watched its construction when I was a teenager, the father of my classmate was involved in design and construction of this building; I have a personal attitude toward this hotel. I like to stay in this hotel also because I like the staff there. They are accommodating and nice toward me with this comfortable for me relaxed but attending to details attitude. The maid service is excellent, the same goes for the reception service. Rooms on the seventh floor are comfortable. Whenever there are any, rare, problems, the staff are there to fix them in a nice and non intrusive ways. Overall, I treat this hotel a little like home when I visit Wroclaw. I hope that this hotel will be there for many, many years.
“Wroclaw and the Hotel Orbis-- a Great Combination!”
If you're looking for a nice place to stay while visiting this fantastic city, we woulld highly reommend the Hotel Orbis Wroclaw--it is a nice hotel conveniently located to public transportation that can take you anywhere in Wroclaw. Wroclaw will become well known over the next 3-5 years and the Hotel Orbis is the place to see during your visit!
“Friendly staff, good position but could with a makeover.”
The hotel is only 10 mins walk from the railway station, coach station and terminus for airport bus (No. 406) Often used for business conferences etc. it provided meals until 23:00 very helpful when we arrived at 10:00p.m. The reception staff allspeak good English and the serving staff were Friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was open from 7:00 - 22:00 which proved very convenient. The rooms thmesleves were a bit passed their sell by date and whilst being clean and fairly well equipped they were beginning to look a little sorry for themselves - cigareete burns in the curtains, stains on the carpet etc. Overall we were very happy there - warm and welcomed.
“Excellent vicinity”
Hotel was very well placed for Wroclaw Square and had the terrific advantage of tram stops immediately outside the hotel on both sides of the road. Single trop tickets can be bought from the hotel until you can find the day tickets in the machines at various stops. We ate out and only used the hotel for sleep but it was excellent with views right across the city.
“Nice hotel”
Clean, nice, and comfortable hotel within 15min walking distance to city center. It is located near Arkady shopping center (pretty much across the street). I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in staying there.
“Improvements needed”
I was only in the hotel to sleep. I didn't use any of the facilities or restaurants so cannot comment on them. I appreciate that they were busy but the hotel staff kept me waiting on check-in without acknowledging me. I also asked for a no-smoking room but didn't get one. The room I was in had ashtrays in the corridor right outside the door and reeked of stale cigarette smoke. When I requested a change I was told there was nothing available so I asked if they could do something about the smell and the ashtrays outside the door. Nothing was done about this either. If I had been given a no-smoking room then i would have been quite happy.
“It used to be the best hotel in Wroclaw 15 yrs ago”
The location is great (close to a tram, city center, stores, shopping center, movie theater, railway/bus station), but the A/C is only central, so you can't adjust it, and it was way too hot (29 Celsius). When you open the small window at night, it is really noisy from the traffic; a major street is nearby. Also, the bed mattress was not comfortable at all. The breakfast buffet was not included and too pricey (35 zloty per person). The old-fashioned TV set could be bigger, too. The young ladies at the reception were nice, but the middle-age woman in charge of the entrance to the breakfast room wasn't nice at all.
