“ideal place for those attending RDS events”
Very clean and hospitable. Only a five minute walk to the RDS Arena and about 10min taxi ride to town centre. Daytime staff very friendly. Night staff however weren't very helpful. Had a problem with the wi-fi as they gave me a code that was out of date by over a year and then left me on hold for around 20mins. I ended up putting the phone down as I needed to go to the RDS but upon my arrival back at the hotel I found a letter of apology and a new valid code so all was resolved. Overall a very nice hotel in a good friendly location.
“nice hotel”
the good thing about the hotel is its easy access to the bus as there is Dublin bus post just in front of its door. also the airport bus stops in this bus post. the internet is available in the lobby but the signal is very weak in the room so you must go to the lobby. it is only 15 minutes to the city center by bus. if I go back again I will stay there.
“Great hotel”
A really comfortable hotel to stay in for your visit. About a 10 minute taxi ride to the centre of Dublin, which cost about 12 euros each way. I'd definitely stay here when visiting Dublin again.
“can't understand the bad reviews!”
Just arrived back & wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to a friend. The room was very comfortable, tea & coffee making facilities & internet connection were all available. There were some bits in the room that may have benefited from a lick of paint, but it was clean. Friendly staff & good amenities. Enjoyed the food & good choice of places to eat, both on the complex itself & within walking distance,
“Great hotel but no service amenities”
I've stayed in three hotels in Dublin and this one had the most spacious and well laid out rooms especially for the price. However, there was no room service and you couldn't charge your purchases at the restaurant and coffee shop to your room. There was a lack of information about the hotel in the room (ie -- what number to call for cleaning services or the front desk) and the hallways and common areas seemed sparse as if furnishings were missing. I was mildly disappointed to see that the pool had been covered over and it emphasized that it seemed as if the hotel was trying to significantly cut costs by removing once obvious amenities. On the plus side, the staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was clean. It is very close to the sites in Dublin City Center area and within walking distance although the hotel site lists some of them as closer than they really are. All in all, I was surprised at what was lacking but I wasn't overly disappointed since the three things that are most important to me -- proximity to city center; friendliness of staff; quality of room -- were all within expectations.
“OK, but not great”
I found this hotel adequate for the category that it is in, but NOT great. The two main points that detracted from my stay were: A) finding someone elses dirty sock under a cushion in the room, and B) the hotel pool and leisure facilities closing early on Sunday. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
“Great Hotel - A little light on entertainment”
This hotel is one of the nicest I have stayed in Internationally. The staff is excellent and responsive to every request. The room is remarkably comfortable.
“Inside belies the outside”
Jurys Towers was a little strange as it has a separate entrance to the Jurys Ballsbridge which it's joined on to. Outside looked rather drab but rooms were large and well appointed and you had full use of the main Ballsbridge hotel which appeared newer and plusher. Good bar plus two grades of restaurant. Excellent complimentary breakfast - all you can eat breads, fruit, salmon and cheeses plus good coffee and range of teas. In a quiet part of town next to the old Lansdowne Rd rugby ground which is being pulled down. 20 mins walk from centre, St Stephens Green, shopping, etc. Probably needs a bit of a refurb certainly in the next year or two. Would say it was expensive but Dublin is now an international capital and it was high season so can't complain
“Easy going”
Hotel was very pleasing with an excellent location. Taxi always available at the front door . Excellent breakfast buffet and bar for drinks in the evening. Needs a few more conveniences such as additional pillow and an alarm clock would help.
“Plesant but missing that special something”
Overall hotel was pleasant, conveniently located and clean. However for a 5 star hotel we expected a little more - felt it was very much a lovely business hotel rather than one for a special break
