“Great bed & breakfast”

This was my first stay at a bed & breakfast and it was outstanding. The inn keeper, Dave made you feel at home. He truly enjoys what he is doing and it shows. He tells you about how he started running the inn and its history as well as asking about the guests reasons for staying and spending time to get to know the guests. It was nice to see Dave and the other guests for breakfast and get to see what they had done on their stay as well as little bit about them in the short stay we had their. The inn was conveniently located a few blocks from the center of town and historic sites.

“Bernadine's -- The best place to stay in Galena!”

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, everything was excellent! They thought of all the details of home to make our stay so warm and welcome. Especially wonderful was the drinks in our room and the availability of snacks and movies. We loved the robes in our room, too. The rooms were all very unique and comfortable. Breakfast was THE best of our 8 day trip! I wish I could have it again. Those LOVE CAKES of Bernadine's were superb! Thank you to Dave and Bernadine and family for taking such good care of us. Too bad we only stayed one night!

“Recommend to others who like nice unique B&B”

Excellent place - unique- friendly owners. Right next to President Grant's home in Galena.
