All the employees were very nice and helpful. it was a quiet place.
“Can't wait to go back”
My husband and I went there for our honeymoon. The hotel was extremely clean, service was great. The scenery was beautiful, very quiet and private. I look forward to going back next year for my anniversary.
“would definately go back”
We were very impressed with this hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. We have no complaints or anything negative to say.
“beautiful”
it is a nice hotel and has a nice view of the lake and mountains
“Relaxing”
Grounds kept in excellant shape In door and outdoor pool was never crowded and noise level low. Breakfast reasonable, service very good, dinner only on friday & saturday. Plenty to chose from off the menu. Disappointed no soup. No internet in room, had to go lounge area, but area was comfortable with large screen TV. 10 min from downtown
“A great place to stay!”
The view from the private balcony was very scenic and relaxing.
“Had a great time!”
Lovely location - great service - beautiful huge room! Would highly recommend it to anyone
“Loved it!”
Reasonably priced, nice, older resort hotel. All interior access rooms, wide, well-lit hallways, efficiently designed, roomy suites, clean and comfortable, lovely lakeview from balconies, beautiful and well-maintained grounds. Resident ducks and geese (and their fluffy offspring) kept us entertained. They're doing some renovation at the moment, but it's not disruptive in any way. It'll be a 5 start when they've finished the work on their pool and get the restaurant and bar back in operation. And, unfortunately, it'll probably cost a lot more.
“A Good Place to Stay”
When we drove up to the hotel it wasn't quite as large and nice as I had hoped, but it was nice. It was right on the lake. The suite we had was very nice...a large living/dinette/desk area with TV, then a very well lit sink area outside the bathroom, a large bedroom area with another TV and then an outside patio area with table and chairs. Had a jacuzzi tub, but was pretty outdated. A bit hard to climb in and out of. There are gardens and couches all through the hotel, but the carpet needs to be stretched badly. The buffet each morning was to die for (not continental), but no other meals are served. The staff are extremely nice and congenial. Will help with directions for sites. It's about 10 minutes from the downtown attractions. Mid-America Science Museum about 5 min. away. Except for the rain it was a good stay. Probably would stay here again...but I might stay a bit closer to downtown. Lake Hamilton was beautiful and was literally 5 feet from the patio. It really was like being at home. Also, an inside and outside pool and a very small private beach.
“great amenities”
we stayed in a king suite, it was very clean, comfy and affordable. pools were nice, bar and lounge great, food pretty good too. There were only a few noticable flaws and they were regular wear and tear, nothing to prevent us from returning soon!
