“Very well run”
The staff was very accomdating with directions, suggestions, etc. Room was clean and well kept and the restaurant was very good.
“Old Hotel, but no too bad.”
This is an older hotel, and at one time it was probably a very nice hotel. The bar next to the main lobby was packed both Friday and Saturday night, but with mostly people in their 50s or older. We were looking for a deal on a weekend when the Vols were playing, and we found it at this hotel. It is farther from the stadium than we would have liked, but there was plenty of $10-$20 parking when we got to the stadium.
“Needs a facelift but don't let that stop you from staying there”
This hotel was in a great location. The room was clean. The breakfast was filling with a good variety. The staff was helpful. Just needs a facelift.
“If we go back for next years game with Marshall!”
Hotel lobby was awesome according to my daughter. Her only complaint was that the pool wasn't heated and the beds were a little on the hard side. Expedia helped with finding the reservations that the clerk couldn't find at first. Overall it was a good experience.
“COULD BE REMODELED”
tHE HOTEL HAD NICE AMENITIES, BUT COULD USE SOME UPDATING ON FURNITURE AND LIGHTING.
“Will not try for the third strike”
Our first experiance with this hotel was in 2004, which was first class with only one problem. None of the ice machines in the hotel worked. In June of 2007 we again stayed at the same hotel. Again none of the ice machines in the hotel worked and we stayed on the ground floor and the room had a musty smell. In 2004 we stayed in a second floor suite and there were no odors.
“Not impressed”
If you want a cheap hotel room for a quick visit to Knoxville, choose this. If you plan to be in the room for a while, I would go elsewhere. Wallpaper peeling off walls, shower moldy, etc. We were basically in the room long enough for a quick night's sleep.
“Decent Stay”
Convient Location and decent rooms. A little bit loud as you can hear other people on the same floor. Interstate noise not too bad.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel could use some serious updating. The carpet in the common areas was worn and it was hot in the halls. Our rooms was hot when we got there and it took a while to cool down. The rooms could use some updating, also. I don't know if i would stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.
“Non-smokers beware!”
The entire hotel was thick with cigarette smoke, even our nonsmoking room. The bar downstairs doesn't appear to be ventilated. We were told it would close at 11:00 p.m. However, it was still open at 3:00 p.m. and people were leaving in the middle of the night, honking their horns repeatedly in the parking lot, while hotel customers were trying to rest.
