“Upgraded room was fabulous!”
Staff upgraded us to the Lakeview Hotel in Summit Village (also on the Shanty Creek grounds) and the newly renovated room was great, with a full kitchen, king bed, updated bath and fireplace. We do not know that Schuss Village would have been as nice.

“Nice golf resort”
Our room was in a comfortable size and nice and tastefull equipped. The room was clean. In the lobby you will find an inviting restaurant and a bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were there just for lodging and not for golfing, but we have enjoyed our shortly 2 nights stay very much.

Came into town from New York for a business trip and was very pleased upon arrival! Definitely would recommend this hotel. It's been recently updated and I truly enjoyed my stay.
“Stay at Summit Village not Schuss Village!”
We booked a room at Schuss Village for two nights in July. We drove to the admission office only to find the entire area deserted. It was like a ghost town. It was a little spooky. The door was locked with instructions to go to the main hotel in Summit Village to retrieve keys and check-in. It was a short drive to Summit Village, but a world away. Lots of people, a few restaurants, etc. They told us they would upgrade us to a room in the main Summit Village hotel for a small fee. We jumped on it. It was worth the extra $50 for the two days. The room was really nice, although we were put in a room with a murphy bed. It was still comfortable, but a bit on the small side. It would be good if you had children and this was the adjoining room. Other than that, our stay was great. Summit Village is really nice and clean. Apparently, the rooms have recently been updated. Nice sheets and bedding. I would definitely stay there again, although I would book Summit not Schuss.
“Nice place to visit but no for a long period of time”
Hotal wasn't too bad. They did however take some of our cloths by mistake to clean and we never got them back. The day we checked out we asked if they could track them down and they couldn't find them. They did however reinburse us for the cost of new clothes. The outside pool needs to be remoddled but the inside of the hotel was nice. There are shops around the hotel but none were open so we couldn't buy anything. The area in itself is very pretty and the view from the hotel restaurent is very nice.

“Okay weekend”
This hotel is in need of an update. The room seemed clean, but there was a hat left behind from a former guest. The bed was comfortable. The bedding is really dated though. The shower was really strange. You had to pull down a ring on the end of the faucet to start the shower. The location was great for my husband and son who were skiing. It is not a good hotel for a non skier, like myself.
“not bad for the money”
could be a great place, but you'd think that all of the routine hotel maintenance would be done before the busy memorial day weekend- we were looking forward to the hot tub- which was broken. Ice machine was broken. room was adequete, service was decent.
