We came from Boston to Santa Cruz for our son's wedding and spent Thanksgiving week at this hotel, "off season", expecting little more than a comfortable place to sleep. What a surprise!! Right across the street from the beach and the boardwalk, this little gem offers the cleanliness, convenience and amenities that I would expect from a 5-star hotel. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, continental breakfast was provided, the spotless rooms were equipped with cable TV, fridge and microwave, and the beds were among the most comfortable I have ever found in a hotel room. This is definitely the place to stay in Santa Cruz. Thanks for a great experience, Coastview !!

“great for the price and location”

The Coastview Inn, although certainly not a Ritz-Carlton, was one of the better reasonably-priced hotels I've stayed in, especially at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, where I stayed at many hotels. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and well maintained as were the grounds (except the pool had not been vacuumed, probably because it was stormy weather). The mattress was the most comfortable I've experienced at any hotel, regardless of price. My wife and I stayed in a single king room and our daughter and three 16 year-old girlfriends shared a double queen room which the staff made sure was adjacent to ours. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was GREAT. our room was newly remodled so everything was pretty new and clean. Our kids were very happy with the cable tv. Would definately not mind staying in this hotel again. The room had a good size fridge also

My husband and I were very happy with this hotel. Convenient location across the street from the Boardwalk and beachfront, and there are many places to eat just around the corner or a short walk away. Not at all the hotel's fault, but it can be a bit noisy when the Boardwalk closes at 11:00pm and loud kids coming back to the hotel are running down the the second floor walkway to get back to their room. Front office staff was very polite. We would definately stay here again!

“Busy Weekend in Santa Cruz”

everything was great, we decided to stay an extra day and they gave us the same rate. the only thing i didnt like is the contenental breakfast, it was super weak. but i will stay there again, great location and very accomadating.

PERFECT location for beach....its right across the street. No beach view from our room but the convience of having the beach & Boardwalk was a huge plus. (we have a 3 year old, so it made it very easy to come back & fourth to the room for naps, snacks, etc. The room is on the smaller size but still comfortable. The fidge is a good size, which is nice for snacks, milk, water etc. Bath room is newer, just wish ours had a little more light in it. We would defiantly stay again because of the location, price of room and overall the room was nice and decent. The manger was very nice and parking wasn't bad as well.

“It's so Santa Cruz!”

It couldn't be anymore convienent. You can walk to the beach and boardwalk in 2 minutes, and to the wharf, whose seafood rivals San Francisco in 5 minutes. The staff are ever so polite and efficient. When the weather's nice, the pool is great, solar heated, clean. You're close the best coffee at the Falafal Hut and the bowling alley. Make a reservation now.

The hotel was nice and clean better than I expected after reading some of the reviews. the staff was friendly and nice the beds were a little hard but the room was clean and comfortable and updated. great location too and its was nice we left for the day and came back to our room being made up and fresh towels in the bathroom. parking is a little tight but it is free at the hotel if you can get it. would go again
